I love my job as a caregiver. I became interested in becoming apart of the medical field when I started caring for my mom at the age of 8 years old due to a stroke. It gave me a feel of importance. I grew up in a family where everyone took care of each other especially grandparents. I lost my older sister to cancer. Doctor said she only have about five to six month time. Not wanting to go to hospice, I care for my sister at home and gave all I got to care for her and give her as much comfort as I can. My experience with all my clients they are always taken by my smile. What makes me a good caregiver is a big heart for the elderly who listen, observe and attend accordingly to the needs. I attend to clients like I attend to my sister or anyone in my family. Makes it more personal and special.
