I am very proud of my organizational skills that helped me achieve annuals deans list at my university while taking 27 credit hour science courses while also having a part time job!

I done long term mental health specialty training, bloodborne pathogens training, audlt first aid/CPR/AED and nurse delegation core training. Im very experienced and had a lot of training. I show up on time, im a hard worker, learn fast. I think i would be a great fit of a caregiver if you give me the chance.

So im a single mom just getting back into the work force and a few years back I got a in home care job and had a couple clients and I absolutely fell in love with my job after about a week vause at the end of the day it felt rewarding to have helped someone in need

Hi everyone! My name is Brittany. I'm 21 years old, and I've been caregiving for about 4 years now. I began working in the care field when my grandma required help after a fall that broke her hip. I moved in with her, assisting with all ADLs. During this time, I also began caregiving for a paraplegic man at night and on the weekends. Eventually I moved in with him so I could be of assistance at all times of the day. When this job ended for me, I began working my first facility caregiving job at The Beehive. My favorite part of being a caregiver is bonding with my residents and doing everything in my power to make their day great. I'm often complimented on my even temper and patience. I always treat my residents with respect and I feel that I am respected more by them because of it.

I am a great caregiver because I understand that one of the most important parts included in the care provided to an individual is companionship. Companionship is such an important part in care because a real human connection helps with mental and emotional well being. Taking care of physical well being is incredibly important but is only half the job. I learned this while caring for my grandmother near the end of her life. My experience started with her and moved on to caring for a wonderful woman named Majorie until she had to go into assisted living. After that I got a job working at a day program for adults with developmental disabilities. Each person I have cared for has taught me so much about doing my job better. They have taught me about caring for the whole person, not just their physical needs but their mental and emotional needs as well. The point of being a caregiver is to do what is necessary to make a persons life better.

Returning to school at my age was terrifying to say the least. I think this time, I wanted to learn and was ready. After High School, further education was not high on my list. I live in beautiful Oregon, originally from Montana. I have an amazing 16 year old son and a spastic Rat Terrier named Ty.
