Becoming an CNA became important in my life as my grandmother was in need of some assistance and I was unaware of all the things that was needed so I went to learn received my certificate and feel in love with taking care of the elderly I have been working in this field for 20 years and I LOVE IT!!!!!

I've been a caregiver for 6 years now! My experience range from assisting individuals with ALS, Dementia, Alzheimer's, as will as Hospice. Other work I've done is with individuals whom have physical challenges (needs wheel chair or hoyer lifts etc). What I love most about caregiving is the time spent caring for the individual. I particularly love learning, asking questions and helping people. I get to do all three as a caregiver! Hello my name is Leslie. I have been a caregiver for 8 years, I started my journey with group home care with the mental disabled. Two years later I started elderly home care, making sure the elderly get a chance to stay in their own homes where they are comfortable is my pleasure.
