I have always been a caregiver and it is something that comes naturally. I've taken care of my sister for many years, she was a quadriplegic. I've also been a paraprofessional to children and worked as an RN for 17 yrs. in the areas of LTC/Rehab., home health, and Hospice care.

I love being a caregiver, I decided I wanted to become a caregiver when my great grandma passed away a few years ago. I liked seeing the interaction and compassion her caregivers gave her in her last moments of life and I want to be able to do that for others also. I love caring for people, I believe that's my true calling. An achievement I am proud of is getting my CDP (Certified Dementia Practitioner) to further my education with Dementia and now teach others about it.

I am a all around very friendly and compassionate person and caregiver. I have a lot of love and pride for what I do and plan on furthering my nursing career. I became a CNA in December of 2021. I started working at a Rehab Center as a CNA last January and fell in love with the job. I just feel as if Home Health would be a better option for me and other patients in need.

I watched my Grandpa battle dementia for 7 long years until I lost him a year ago, today ironically. I'm avid on learning more, helping anyone who has it, to not feel alone. I also worked in a home with 8 individuals with impairments. I'm an advocate on mental health, I want to comfort anyone who feels alone. I know what dementia can do, what the effects are on the family.
