I am from Louisiana but I am moving to Sioux City Iowa in order to better my life and provide for my family. I have a little bit of experience with caregiving being that I had to take care of my grandmother when she was sick and when she was in Hospice. I have always wanted to be a caregiver in order to help people out and build great relationships and friendships with my clients. I love the fact that just by being there and helping out I know I am making it easier for my clients, as they might not be able to do a lot of stuff on their own. One personal achievement that I am proud of is the fact that I am still here, growing and learning. I lost my daughter in February of 2022 so I am still trying to find comfort in things. I believe in us helping one another; whether that is helping cook or even helping someone bathe or brush their teeth. It's all about being genuine and kind.

Hi My name is Myaneiaka Shephard , growing up my grandmother was sick alot, and I was the one who learned the ends and out of how to care for her. I was a little girl taking care of her older grandmother but, it was fine because that's when my love and passion grew for caring for others. I take pride in the work that I do for people who are unable to do it for themselves . Learning all of their wants and needs and taking care of them and prioritizing them as if they were my own . Helping people and staying on top of their health and most importantly making sure they are treated right and respectfully is the most important part of my job . I treat others how I would have wanted my grandmother to be treated if anyone had to take care of her. My significant other is an registered nurse and I'm on the road to being an LPN. My greatest achievement is being the best that I can be and maxing out my abilities to be able to provide for others.

I am a person who puts their all into what they are doing, compassionate, good listener, organized, and always wants what is best for someone. I use to work at a nursing facility and I loved the residents and how I was able to help them every day with their daily living activities. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that you get to make a bond with the person and you get to learn each day from that person. Not just about them or their history but about their experience in life and being that person that they can turn to when they need help or even just someone to be there. I do have to say that my personal achievement are making so many smiles on people's faces and knowing that I am there for them.
