I am very committed to making a positive difference in all patients' lives that I have worked with. Quite honestly, I think this is the only way I can contribute to the community is to work in the healthcare field, volunteer, and be an excellent support to those in need. I have a few achievements that I am proud of in my life, but the one that mattered to me the most would be able to be done with school this year. I will earn my BA in Psychology Studies.

l became a caregiver because it is one of the most rewarding things, one can do. l have a passion for putting others first, when you see somebody able to lead a happy, safe and fulfilling life that otherwise would be a challenge. And there is simply no reward quite like watching the smile emerge and hearing their laughter. The thing that l love most about caregiving is making a difference in people's lives, bringing hope and a smile to their faces. My personal achievement that l am most proud of is being recognized as the best caregiver of the month, a long term without absence from work. And l also trained and educated others. l am kind, hardworking, loving, compassionate, emphatic and l love what l do with a passion.

What makes me a great caregiver is because I love helping people and it also give me more experience. I became a caregiver because of the fact that I love helping people that makes me feel great, What I like about being a caregiver is that I can make someone's day just to know that I've made that persons day makes me feel happy. I Assisted patients with various activities of daily living, including using the toilet, bathing, dressing, preparing food, eating, drinking, and moving around. Followed patient care plan directives as recommended or instructed by nurse. Performed regular homemaking chores, such as doing dishes, sweeping and mopping floors, doing laundry, and cleaning patient medical equipment. Ensured safe, healthy, clean, and uplifting patient environment at home. Provide direct care to clients in a one-on-one or group therapy setting to implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction treatments as directed by the supervisor. Collect and record data on patient behavior. Collaborate, communicate, and assist with the training of clients, parents, and staff.

My name is Shanna, and i became a care giver after working as a nanny for 5 years. The family i work for expanded and the child was diagnosed with autism. From there i began my journey as a para and a traveling nanny with kids on the spectrum. I went on to work at a school for kids with t.b.i and also worked private with children and young adults with special needs. Doing this job you have to have patience, be compassionate, and dedicated. I pride myself of aiding my clients in meeting their goals and keeping up with their schedules. The biggest reward is the peace it brings the families to know that they've found someone to take great care of their loved one. It's really hard to find great help but when you do it's euphoria. I am reliable, attentive and always up for the task.

As a personal care assistant I will provide all client with the physical daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing , getting out of bed, standing or exercising. Ensure client received appropriate diet by reviewing their daily restrictions food , allergy and Preferences. Helping client maintain a stable peaceful experience and to build a strong relationship with me as a personal care assistant as always been my Goal . I enjoy helping others and making a different in someone live who is incapable of doing so for themselves is what I enjoy most about being a caregiver.
