I became a caregiver because I did not want to work in main stream Healthcare anymore. My passion is helping seniors the way they and their family's want to be cared for without Healthcare systems making the choices for their care. I worked as a physical therapy assistant for 27 years. The last 8 were in a rehabilitation department at a skilled nursing facility. I have enjoyed the last 9 years doing private home care as a caregiver. Helping individuals live their lives with dignity, safety and loving care.

I was raised in a family of all nurses. I had a strong interest in helping others so I took the CNA course. I have been a CNA and have been actively working as a CNA since 2009. I have worked in all different types of settings, such as hospitals. nursing homes, private care duties, group homes, and home care. I love to give back to people that are in need of help. I'm recently married to my best friend. I was born and raised in Aroostook County, Maine until almost 3 years ago I relocated to southern maine for work reasons and of course to be with my now husband. I have an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. Before I was a CNA I was a waitress for almost 5 years. I have great customer service skills. I enjoy reading, learning new things, and being outdoors. I love any outdoors activity.
