I have been in caregiving since 2021. I have worked in many assisted living facilities and have taken care of many patients ranging from those having dementia to not being able to move around as much as they use to. I'm very proud of how far I've come and proud of the connections I have made along the way!

My name is Amber, I live in Midland with my husband and our dogs! I moved to Midland around 4 years ago and I fell in love with the area. Hi, my name's Kaela. I have enjoyed working with older adults since I turned 16 and started my first job at a retirement community. I'm compassionate, caring, social, and love getting to know new people. As the oldest child, I've always taken on the caregiving role for my little sister and this is what spiked my interest in healthcare. My favorite part about being a nursing assistant is spending one on one time with residents and helping them to feel and look their best. I'm currently a student at Central Michigan University. I have a neuroscience major and am working on a gerontology minor. I hope to attend graduate school to become a physician assistant specializing in hospice or geriatric care. One fun fact about me is that my favorite animal is an elephant. Last summer I volunteered in Thailand for a month at a rural health clinic. While I was there I had the opportunity to swim and hike with "retired elephants" at an elephant sanctuary!
