When they got sick I was all they had I had to quit my job and take care of her 24/7. Hello my name is Deshay and I am a certified personal care aide, I have been a PCA since 2019 and I also just recently received my CNA. I absolutely love caregiving, being able to help someone while they can stay in the comfort of their own home is my main goal! I have been in a few different settings when it comes to healthcare. I have worked in a nursing home, an assisted living home, and actual in home care. I am a fast learner and I can adapt to any situation pretty quickly. I know myself not everyday is going to be easy and some days can be more difficult than others but I take with a full heart and open mind and a compassionate demeanor. I watched my mom work in a nursing home for years, and I always looked up to her. I was always amazed at how much love she had for her residents and I could not wait to be apart of that! I honesty just like helping others and I feel like home health care is the best way to do so. What attracted me to wanting to become a caregiver was how I took care of my nephew who is severely speech delayed he taught me how to love differently and gain patience. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is just the feeling of you helping someone else to the best of your ability, knowing they greatly appreciate you.
