Hello, my names Diana. I am a licensed COTA with a bachelors degree. I worked per diem in a few different nursing home so I have experience with the geriatric population. I did home care during my fieldwork. I have experience working with clients in their homes. I love helping others and making individuals feel comfortable in their homes.

I believe I'm a great caregiver because I am passionate and caring I love taking care of people and helping them anything I could do to make a person's life better makes me feel better about myself. I started in the field because I do enjoy caring for people so much. I have dealt with all kinds of people from different age ranges with a range of different issues that they may need assistance with and I have always loved doing what I'm doing and I will continue to love doing what I'm doing. My abilities and interests in becoming a care giver were fostered during my young teenager years. An immediate family member of mine has experienced many health issues, some of which were life changing medical emergencies. At a very young age I became a caregiver to this family member, which included providing direct daily care, feeding, ambulating, and educating them on their health journey. Along with experience caring for other family members with various conditions, I am also currently enrolled in a 2-year, RN Nursing Program at SUNY Morrisville; which is my proudest achievement so far! Nursing school has provided me with a further understanding of medical knowledge, disease processes, patient centered care abilities, and hands on learning (includes In-Patient clinical rotations). Because of this I am continuously able to add to my list of experience with various health conditions, some including: Alzheimer's, Dementia, Cerebral Palsy, Lesch Nyhan Syndrome, Autism Syndrome, Diabetes, Stroke, Heart Attack, Depression, Anxiety, Ostomy Bags, and more. I am a very organized and detail-oriented person, I enjoy keeping a schedule and planning in advance as much as possible. I have always been described as mature, professional, and approachable. I truly enjoy caring for people, and I work hard to ensure individuals feel comfortable with their care. Nothing is more rewarding to me than making positive impacts on those around me!
