Hello! My name is Edyn and I am originally from Altoona, PA. I am currently in my senior year of nursing school at IUP and will be graduating in December of 2020. I plan to become a Labor and Delivery nurse one day after graduation. I am very dedicated to this field and I believe I have a very warm heart. I think I'm a great caregiver because I know what I'm doing. I get to know that person as an individual and get to know what they like and don't like. It helps with taking care of that individual. I love taking care of people and making them feel like they have someone there for them.

I've been a CNA since 2015, right out of high school. I love every minute of it and would never turn back. I enjoy everything about it, getting to know each person I take care of and knowing I'm helping them in a way some people can't is the greatest feeling ever!

I was raised by my grandparents and help with their care as they got older. I helped to care for my grandmother who had dementia as a companion and later with pallative care. I was present and provided support and comfort to her thru her end of life amd assisted with her post mortem care. I have since worked both in home and nursing home settings providing care to those who primarily had dementia, providing pallative, hospice and post mortem care. I have had great success with calming clients who are combative or aggressive to preform nesscary ADLs. I also have experience with diabetic care and those who are on dialysis including ports. I am a very patient and compassionate person who loves to see someone enjoy a safe and comfortable life.
