Hello! My name is Lisa, I have 3 children of which 2 are grown and married now. In my home growing up, my mother was a nurse . I remember going to her work and visiting the elderly, which developed a respect and soft spot for them as well. Right out of High School I went to work as a CNA at the local nursing home. I had a dream of climbing in the medical field and finish as a doctor but with life circumstances , that did not happen. As you can see by my resume I have lived in a few different states , which really helped me mentally being around different places and people. Working and traveling was very educational for me. I enjoy being a care giver because I am a nurturer by nature. I am very respectful and highly empathetic. It is important that you know as my careers changed through the years, I did not keep my CNA license active, it is expired and I have no plans of working in a setting to get them back. My personal Achievement I am proud of, is raising 3 young men by myself. One is in the Air Force, another works in the medical field with his in-laws at their medical clinics and I still have a 16 year old at home. I take a lot of pride in raising untroubled adults .
Skills & Certifications: Stroke, Vision and Eye Disorders, Respiratory Disorders, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Orthopedic Care, Post Surgery Recovery, Neurological Disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, HIV/AIDS, Hearing Disorders, Depression, Diabetes, Dementia, COPD, Arthritis, Cancer Recovery, Alzheimer's Disease

I am friendly and easy to talk to. I decided to be a caregiver because I like helping people who need a little more assistance than others. I have met many different types of people in this field and I have learned that even though you need assistance doesn't mean that you are completely helpless.
