What makes me a good caregiver is that i believe i have a passion for this type of work i have been in this field of work for over 7 years, what attracted me to be a caregiver is my mom who also did caregiving when she fell ill i had to take care of her also which drove me even more to want to help people. I have always been a people person and enjoyed helping others. It wasn't tell after my mother became ill and I was caring for her. I realized after her passing this is what I wanted to continue to help others . I'm very dependable and willing to help in all areas and give personal attention with respect and compassion .

I am very well suited for the Field of Care Giving. I am a CNA. I am compassionate. I care very much about my Client's situation in life and want to do my best to help them cope and endure with their various health concerns. Also, I have more than 20 years in the care of others with various Ailments. I was attracted to this Field as a result of my Mother and Sisters involvement as well as my being a naturally caring person. I enjoy making a difference in the lives of my Clients. What made me want to be a caregiver and take care of people was being able to for connections and friendships with them. i was my grandmothers caregiver for 2 years before getting into the health care and being able to make help and care for someone brightened up my day! being that i'm a very personable person i find it very easy to connect with new people. It is not my favorite job, but I Really enjoy working with hospice. I am bubbly and friendly and get along well with most people. A lot of people are afraid of working with hospice, but I enjoy learning about them and their lives. I have also helped my own family die after taking them into my home. I really mean it when I say that I will treat them as my own family.

Hi, my name is Leah and I'm 41 years old. I love the one on one personalized care I can give and I am able to tailor meals/nutrition, social, mental, emotional, physical stimulation according to the person's preferences. Most importantly to allow the person to stay in their familiar environment/home for as long as possible. I love the stories and words of wisdom the folks have to share. I am a sweet, caring and honest caregiver and my co-workers have always told me that I work from my heart. I still remember my last patient's compliment: "You work so fast and furious," because I love to persevere and I am always organized. I've had 2-3 years of experience as a private caregiver and currently working in senior living in Alzheimer's and memory care section. I am looking for morning to afternoon shift only.
