I have worked with elderly people for a couple of years prior to my current job .

I have experience as a provider I cared for my elderly mother up until the age of 90, until she expired, assisted her with all her basic needs. I also cared for an elderly 85 yr old female, wheelchair bound, also assisted with all her basic needs, as well as transportation to dr appl, shopping for groceries, etc. I provide tenderness, listen to their conversations, understanding, comply with care needs, cleaning, sweeping, mopping, vacuum, laundry, cooking, shopping, assistance with showering, assistance with dressing, reminder of meds, making bed, and maintaining shower & toilet clean and any other health care needs that client would request, I am available to work flexible hours and ready to work, thank you.

My decision to become a care giver began when I decided to become a nurse aid and gained all my caregiver experience working in a nursing home. That employment gave me the opportunity to really gain the knowledge of caring for my residents in every aspect of their daily lives and tending to their every need I was able to interact with each and every one and learn how to adjust to different needs be patient, caring ,loving and most of all understanding to all their needs. I learned alot on how imperative it was that I be there for every single one of the residents and how essential my presence and ability to help them was . I really enjoy meeting new clients and learn from them it gives me a great sense of gratitude to know that I can be of assistance to them and how I can be of service in any given way. I wouldn't change my career for anything, Especially knowing that I have worked And assisted my own family members my grandparents. all this experience has served my true purpose in life to help others in need and gain the responsibility knowledge to care other people in need.

Hi My name is Elsa I am 59 and I have plenty of experience working with elderly patients I was a caregiver/provider for my mother for many years. At first I only worked for 24 hours a week then as her health declined I went up to 34 hours a week. I would cook for her and help her with her bathing and grooming also cleaning and laundry. I would also take her to her doctors appointments and with her medication schedules. When she was no longer able to live by herself I decided to become her full time caregiver instead of placing her in a nursing home so I moved in with her and took care of her until she passed. I also have worked as a provider for my aunt that has heart disease and currently I do respite hours for my 30 year old niece that suffers from a mental disorder. I had to brothers that used to live with my mother that became disabled one after suffering two strokes and another one who was on dialysis and started showing signs of dementia so I would also help them when their providers would be done with their shifts.

I am a medical assistant I also went to a program for CNA when I graduated from High school. I used to go to the nursing home voluntary 3 days a week.

I love being and caring for my patients giving them the attention they need bathing them is important to me so they can feel good ,, try to laugh with play with them ,, I'm a cna for 13 years and I love my work
