My name is Patricia Fair. I enjoy working with the elderly. I have five years experience working with clients who have dementia. I am a very pleasant person and take pride in being able to communicate with people. I have worked in several different jobs and have always advanced to a managerial position.

I have many personality traits that make me the perfect candidate. I'm patient, positive, funny, always willing to help, and love to help people. What attracts me to caregiving is I have excelled and learned so much of the importance of caregivers that truly care by taking care of my Mother-in-Law. I am so specific on how things need done and I also became an expert unfortunately caring for my mom before she passed. I love getting to know my companion, laughing with them, alleviating any stresses they are having, and letting them know they're safe and taken care of as long as I am there. A personal achievement I am proud of is not only caring for my terminally sick mom, but also somehow maintaining running her business while still always being there for whatever she needed. It was the hardest part of my life, but I was forced to grow up quickly to take care of her the way she had me my whole life. I dropped out of college at Texas Tech and put all my time and energy into her.

Identifying the needs of the client and listening instead assuming, having compassion, following the rules and making sure the clients are in a safe and clean environment. Wanting to care for the needs of others that need assistance and knowing that I may possibly make a difference in someones life. Tending to the needs of others, possibly putting a smile on their face and in their heart. I would have to say my personal achievement that I'm proudest of is seeing two of my clients that were admitted to the behavioral treatment center I worked at turn their lives around and have children of their own now and are great parents and they both told me that it was because of my guidance, compassion and the patience to listen when they really needed it that made it possible to trust and believe in themselves and others.

Hello! My name is Alyssa. I absolutely love being a caregiver. I enjoy spending time with my patients. I treat them like they are my own family. I have a big heart and want to do good by them. I started my career as a caregiver because of my grandpa. He had lung cancer but he didn't want to go to a nursing home. I asked him why and he told me that they really don't care for their patients. So I wanted to be someone that patients could count on to be there for them. While I was at the nursing home I enjoyed being there only because of the patients. I had a lady that loved to color and a gentleman that loved playing rock, paper, scissors. They made my day every day. One day I would really like to go to school to be a LVN.

I enjoyed working with the elderly and miss it very much! It rewarding knowing that I am able to help them in their final years of life and strive to give them the best care and companionship possible!

I am a empathetic/sympathetic person when it comes to patient care. I believe being able to relate and have a deeper care for the patients well being makes me a great caregiver. I love being able to help and the gratitude that is exchanged for that service is a wonderful feeling. I enjoy seeing someone in need receiving the care that they deserve. I have been helping elders since I was about 14 years old my mother was a nurse aid and I'd go help an learn vitals and the ropes of helping loved ones in need an I seen them as family and would treat them as they were my grandparents or my family ..... I enjoy listening to their stories from when they where kids and anything they can remember... Helping an being with the elderly bring me joy because some families can't help them so they have us care givers to help out and we do a really wonderful job..
