I am very good at anticipating needs and have an eye for detail. I am a very compassionate person. I always try to think it's my client, but could be a very close relative. I'm simply a people person and giver. I provided my father personal hospice care to know his last days were pain-free and as comfortable as possible and with as much dignity as the situation would allow.

Caring for others has always been a passion of mine. I took a CNA class my senior year of high school and immediately began working at a nursing home nearby. Hello, I am a mother of 3. Adopted & raised by my grandmother & stepgrandfather. At a young age, I was watching grandma care for her mother 1st we go to momo's house until after some years she moved in with us. I would watch and assist my grandmother in any way I could till her passing. We then brought my adopted fathers, mother to live with us and cared for her for almost 2 years until she passed. During that time learning, to listen to them, and being there for their needs I learned what upset them and I enjoyed spoiling them with love. I grew up left home, had children & made my way back to my hometown when my birth dad's father's dad, dementia started getting bad. My family moved into his house and began 24-hour care, it was all very new to him & us. I began to take classes to understand Alzheimer / Dementia & once I finished the class I had a clearer understanding of what he felt, & we came up with ways to always just meet his needs. I was his live provider for 2 & a half years until he passed. I took a break because losing him hurt. A few years later my aunt & uncle needed help. My aunt had Alzheimer's but with psychoses (something new for me) & My uncle was just minimal assistance but reminders of pills, & meals for 2 years. I enjoy people who need assistance, because I too have been 1st paralyzed (4 months) after a head-on collision & then a whole lot of recovery, and asking for help was not ever easy. Having my family care for me 24/7 weighed heavy on me. So I try my best to better understand exactly what is needed, whether that may be a listening ear, to an extremely weird story, or their upset voicing the changes they are going through. And I try to be understanding to them maybe not want to do a regular task so I bend things and change up the routine if that is what's needed. Because I know how it feels when your life has changed. I love it when it's my time to leave & they don't want me to go. I also love when I see the happiness in the family

I love to help people. I'm dependable, prompt, easy going. I've been retired for 3 years as a secretary at our local school district after 32 years. I'm easy going, flexible with my time.

Hello, My name is Stephanie DeLosSantos, I have done caregiving work for more than 5 years. I have taken care of patients who have no mobility to clients who didn't know who I was after a few min. I have experience in moving a pt when they need help and I get alone with other fairly well. I see myself as a great caregiver because I care about the ones I'm taking care of an I will treat them like I would my family to be treated if it was them being cared for. I became a caregiver because I watched my my grandma do it for many many years an I just knew that this was it for me an I wanted to be able to help the elderly when needed. As this is an can be a hard job at times I do want to say one thing. When your family your loved one is in my care they will be treated with respect an loyalty as they deserve.
