I am unlike your normal caregiver, with my experience under my belt I am achieving things others haven't. With 6 years experience since I was 16, I have been caring for clients of all abilities. I have worked in a rehab center and seen poor care, I was the sunlight in the darkness, and now I want to take caring into my own hands. If I could start my own business about quality care of life I would, as I have background with everything from teaching others to bettering the client I'm working with. I'm a nourisher, and always make them feel wanted. I am a certified nursing assistant and will have my RN shorty. I do not want to work as a nurse as I love the 1-1 care.

I believe that a personal trait that helps me be a great caregiver is my compassion, empathy, and love I have for my residents. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is making my residents laugh. A personal achievement I'm proud of is how much I've learned to soak up and love the little moments Life is short, lead with kindness and love.

I've been a"CareGiver"for having working for years in Nursing Homes, Hospitals and in Patients's Home In New-York. How do they hired me? I passed a Test first and I alway make good marks in those tests. Then I've been rotated before going to be trained; in two or three weeks, I am alone working under supervision with psychiatric patients at Metropolitan Hospital, at Presbyterian Hospital, St.Vincent Hospital and many of these Nursing Homes there. Mostly the time, I worked with Agencies like Gotham Per Diem, Quality Care Inc. - I am a very reliable person who likes my duty as a CareGiver and I am a responsible person to deal with. I like my co-workers and We're like members of the same family. I am very serious regarding my respon -sability and The Patient's Bill of Rights - I have something special: I am a "Foreign Medical Graduate" waiting to pass the USMLE/ECFMG some-time in October 2015 and I would be glad that you help me with an"Overnight Job"because I need the Money to pay for Registration. I have to tell you that I worked more than 20 years in Medical Practice in a governmental Hospital as well as in my private clinic in my country.

I have been a care provider for 4 plus years. I became a LNA because my goal is to become a Registered Nurse in the near future. I enjoy putting a smile on someone's face with just doing something so little. Being able to help people has always been my dream. I am trained in administrating medications as well as experience with people who have dementia and alzhimers.

I became a caregiver to share my respect for the elderly population by helping them to maintain respect and dignity in their later years. I want to help others to remain as independent and self sufficient as they can for as long as they can. I like to listen to the stories that my clients have to share. I like to help my clients to feel happy and to feel safe. An achievement that I am particularly proud of is knowing that a former client who became very special to me, was able to keep the relationships with her family and to mend the ones that she needed to mend.

Hi! To tell you a bit about my experience I have been a professional health care worker for over 16 years. My experience in healthcare motivated me to pursue my Associates in Nurse Education at NSCC from 2013-2015. In my care history, I have worked with a wide range of individuals with different needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, muscular dystrophy, aphasia, anxiety, depression, stroke. I can assist with medication, appointments, immobility, transfers, incontinence, bathing, dressing, bed sores, meal prep, companionship, and organization. I enjoy assisting clients in activities such as physical therapy, memory training exercises, mental awareness exercises, community activities and happy to drive to medical appointments as needed. I believe it is important to encourage my clients to do things that make them feel connected to what's going on around them, such as with hobbies they used to love, even if in a different form now. I have thoroughly enjoyed working in this field. I have created and maintained many strong professional relationships with my previous clients and their families. I've been an LNA since 2014 and enjoy every minute of it.

My family has always been in the healthcare profession for most of their careers,starting with mom(nurse). I have been a caregiver for 25+ years now.The past 3 years I have been working in a senior housing doing Activities.Due to a Head injury 1 year ago-I lost my job for being out for this time..I am now able to work PT,and they couldnot accommodate.So I am seeking PT work.I do have a resident that I just started with yesterday-I will be working 6-10 hours a week with her-doing sewing,arts&crafts,manicures,walks,and possibly country rides!! Her family knows me thru my past job,and were excited to see that I'm on board to help them with their mom.. I could have been a nurse by now,but I'm a "Hands On" person,and get more satisfaction with one on one and getting to know people vs being a paper peddler so to speak! I also have been a big part of my mothers care,I have helped to keep her independant in her apt. for over 5 years,but now she is in middle stages of Alzheimers and needs 24/7 care and is hopefully going to a good place,close so we can continue to forfill her last days,months, or years HAPPY,and Content!! So I have had lots of experience in healthcare,just am unable to do a FT schedule due to my condition...I am now working 24 hrs. weekly,and have applied to many facilities. My LNA license has been renewed,and is good for the next 2 years.
