I've been a homecare aid for over 10 years. I have cared for everyone from children w developmental issues to elderly w dementia. I pride myself on taking care of my clients as if they were my own family. This is far more than just a job to me, I love doing this.

I have 30 yrs experience, I am very blessed to be able to help others. It brings me much joy. I took care of my mom,and continued helping people, I enjoy making a difference in someone's life. If I can help put a smile one someone's face, I have made a difference.

I work well in a team environment and value working together to accomplish tasks while maintaining concentration during detailed work. I enjoy working with a diverse population and developing a positive rapport with co-workers and clients. I can work independently, establish daily work priorities and complete assigned tasks as requested. I have the ability to communicate well with people from all backgrounds. Lastly, I am a very caring, conscientious, and compassionate kind of individual.

What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is helping people in their daily activities. My qualities are being compassionate and kind to the less fortunate. When I think of taking care of aged folks I know and I give my best to treat them like when I'm taking care of my own parents. What I'm proud of right know is being able to bring my both of my parents from some where out of this country and be able to accommodate them and care for them with me and my kids.

I have always enjoyed taking care of others. Watching my Dad suffer from Dementia for 10 years, built my desire in assisting others to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. I became a caregiver in 2011 to take care of my father in law until he passed away in 2013. I found this profession to be very rewarding and chose to pursue it. Building relationships with our elders, listening to their life experiences, helping with their daily activities brings me much joy. The personal achievement that I am most proud of I think would have to be my compassion and desire to help others as well as going back to school to obtain my NAC. My husband and I have been married for 34 years and have lived in Arlington for the past 24 years. We have a 28 year old daughter. A year ago we gained full custody of a 5 year old. I have spent the last year at home, devoting my time to him. He is now secure, doing well in school, it's time for me to get back out into the work force.

I am very a hard working person. I take good care of my patient. I know how to cook, clean, and make the patient comfortable when I am taking care of them. I know how to clean and change bags for catheters (men and women). I am very patient and understanding.

Iam have experience for more than 10years in this feild. I worked in the rehab/ nursing home, assistant living, adult family home and one on one on private home too. I have worked in all level of care to gain experience so that I can work as a independent person .I also know can cook good healthy food.i use to be a manager for afh.
