I have over 20 years experience over a variety of different Healthcare situations. I have several years of experience in healthcare and I'm looking to broaden my experience with home care while continuing my education. Caregiving takes a special type of person. It can be very difficult for clients to receive help-- especially if it is through an agency that throws them a different caregiver every time. This job requires that you keep that thought in your mind at all times, and understand the discretion and quiet dignity that it calls for. Being younger can cause an issue for me due to the "generation gap" between me and my clients; however, what I lack in that area, I make up for with a lot of love (and a little goofiness, because that's important too). Although I am newer to this, I have had a lot of positive feedback so far, from both families and clients. I would prefer to work with someone consistently, so we can build a relationship that this type of care needs, which in turn will be less of an intrusion on my client's personal space since they will be seeing a familiar, smiling face. My job is extremely fulfilling, and I often go home with my heart FULL!! I can see myself doing this for a long, long time. Hi I'm Amber I've been a caregiver for about 5 years I have recently in the past 1 got my CNA certification, I have also done hospice care I like being a caregiver because I love helping people anyway I can. I enjoy this line of work because it lets me gain bonds with people that may not have a family or anyone to help them.

I have a lot of compassion for the elderly and anybody that actually needs help in home What attracted me to caretaking was that I cared for my grandma that had dementia and other issues for three and a half years I love being able to do the one-on-one with people it just gives them more sense of the feeling that they're actually cared about it's hard to get that in a facility I am very proud of the person I've become I have a lot of compassion I'm willing to go above and beyond for any family it just makes me feel like a better person
