I am a very positive, kind, and outgoing person who looks forward to helping out those who need it. I love the excitement and happiness I bring residents each and every day! It reminds me of why I am a CNA. It is a great feeling knowing that I am making other people's days. I am very proud that I have been a CNA for over 3 years and I have recently applied to nursing school at Western Technical College!

I have been a caregiver for individuals of every age making me confident in working with anyone. I am very outgoing and love socialization, but also very hardworking and dedicated to my tasks. I was most interested in becoming a caregiver after babysitting for a family with a child with special needs as well as assisting my mother in her home care nursing position. My favorite part about being a caregiver is the ability to help others and make their lives easier. A personal achievement I am proud of is maintaining my GPA at Dean's list standard throughout Nursing school along with through a pandemic.

Some personality traits that best describe me are that I'm reliable, I will be to work unless something happens to where I can't, but I will give a notice ahead of time. I come to work with a positive attitude, and I'm able to work well with others and as a team. I wanted to be a caregiver because I love helping people and being there for residents everyday, it truly is a rewarding job. I enjoy seeing the residents everyday, and just overall seeing how happy they are that you're there caring for them. A personal achievement that I'm proud of is working and saving up money enough to be able to buy my own car, pay rent and other monthly bills on time, and just being able to manage everything in life by myself.

I'm an outgoing person who loves to take care of others and bring happiness into their life! I've been a caregiver since I was 16 years old, I graduated early, and want to become a nurse in the future.

Being a caregiver is an extremely rewarding job. I have a passion for helping others and putting a smile on other's faces, and being a caregiver allows me to do both of these things. I am going to school to become a recreational therapist and will work with people with disabilities, older adults, and a wide range of people in that field. I believe it is important for older adults to have someone to interact with during the day to improve their mental health.

I have been doing this type of work for about 2 years now, but have been helping take care of my dad since I was 12. I am a very caring and compassionate person who loves to help others in anyway that I can. What attracted me to being a caregiver was the satisfaction of helping people and making them laugh. The things I enjoy about being a caregiver the most is seeing how happy people can get and making that special bond with the person.

I started to watch my parents and their friend's age. I could see the need for people who had patience, kindness, and the calling to work in a challenging and rewarding field. I was ready to make a difference in people's lives as well as to make a difference in my life. I enjoy the one on one interaction with the clients. I ask myself " How can I bring some joy into this person's life today?" "What can I do to give support and comfort?" I try to think of how I would want my parent's cared for. I have 25 years of care giving, 5 with seniors. I am trained and have worked with hospice, MS, Stroke, ALS, physical and developmental disabilities, autism and Alzheimer's. I do all aspects of daily care; cooking, cleaning, bathing, transferring patients, running errands and driving to doctor's appointments. I am currently a licensed CNA, I am certified in Heart Health CPR, Health Care First Aid, Blood Path and Oxygen. and I have attended seminars on Alzheimer's and Dementia at Brenau College in Gainesville GA. I very much enjoy what I do. I feel that I bring patience, kindness, and a cheerful attitude to work each day. All of my paperwork is up to date, TB test, back ground check, driving record and education information if needed. I am also willing to travel. I can provide excellent references. I believe that in this line of work, you need to have a strong passion for helping the individuals that you serve. Without having that passion, you will have a very hard time being successful. Over the past 7 years, I have put all of my time into serving others. I have worked direct care throughout, moving up the chain of command. Now that I am near the top of the hierarchy, I feel that I have lost a sense of why I even started working in this field to begin with, getting caught up with the day to day management duties. I began working in healthcare because of my drive to help. Having a child has only fueled my drive to a max. I have chosen to step down from my upper management position to return to the core of why I began this journey to begin with. I can say with ease, I too have that passion.
