My entire life, people have been drawn to my light, loving energy, compassion and sense of humor. Most often I have heard that my presence speaks volumes, I'm a ray of sunshine and an earth angel. I feel our elders are a treasure and should receive the help and support they deserve. After decades working in a corporate setting I decided to leave and pursue a more heart-centered career. I had been drawn for years to the idea of working with elders and those in hospice and once I started training I knew I had found my life purpose. Regardless of age, I enjoy being a caregiver! I love knowing that I make a difference in peoples lives through my work, volunteering and my 'being of service' way of being. I have many personal achievements that I'm proud of, but the one that touches my heart the most is that I allowed myself the gift of time and self-reflection to step into my life purpose, being of service in elder care, end of life care and other related areas that bring together all of my education, gifts and life experiences. Hello I'm a mother of 2 teenage boys. I have lived in a few different states, while my husband of 16 years was active duty. I have been in homehealth care since I was in my early 20's. I enjoy assisting others and helping them with their independence.

I help with all the activities of daily life, from showering and helping eat to just normal everyday conversations to help residents feel comfortable with my company! I am attracted to being a caregiver because I love to make the elderly feel not alone and to give them help and to show compassion. I enjoy the company of my patients the most! I began caregiving for my grandmother. Alzheimer's and the methods to combat it became a passion quickly. I like to find routine, however, the ability to alter routine and identify unsuccessful tactic is another strong point. I thrive upon being the hope when the medical world deems there is none. I prefer natural and homeopathic answers, although I do not expect my methods to be adopted by all. I try to look at each situation from all perspectives.
