CG for about 12 years. I help them with assistant daily living, medication, check sugar, inject insulin, companionship, cooking and yard work, doc appointment, some errands, light housekeeping.

I have found that my passion/calling is to care for the elderly and/or individuals, who can't do so for themselves. My heart is overwhelmed with genuine happiness when providing care and/or maintaining a personal relationship with each resident, client, and/or patient. I sincerely love fulfilling my heart's desires & passion by providing care, love, companionship, friendship, and even medical care to individuals; resulting in them having a sense of peace, as they go through life changes and having to deal with situations that may be unfamiliar. I find that doing so & providing the utmost respectful care to each of them, brings forth a growth for even myself, as I continue my education into becoming an RN (later to bridge into Nurse Practitioner). Daily, I am seeking the latest knowledge and skill so hopefully I can improve my care traits daily, to a wider/higher demand of clients. I am most definitely proud of a personal achievement in my life pertaining to my husband (who was diagnosed with late stages of Testicular cancer twice)! After receiving a prognosis of 18 months, I decided to further my education & resources, in hopes to find more options....and I did! After nearly 2 years, he is now in remission & cancer-free! This is not to boast about what I did, but instead the 'determination, drive, & passion', that I was blessed with. I will ALWAYS go above & beyond in providing the best care for clients & their family members! I believe there is always room for growth and in order to do so, you must first humble yourself to what you were called to do, whatever that may be!

Hi! I've been a caregiver for more than 12 years; but in the medical field for more than 40 I began my caregiver role after volunteering for hospice in a variety of roles. I felt a calling to contact my local hospice after being a volunteer in a local service league of which one of our projects was fundraising for hospice. After enrolling in the volunteer program, background check, lab work, they provided a thorough and continuous education as a sitter for patients. The caring part came naturally; although I had gained hands on experience while working for various physicians. My education from The University of Alabama along with hands-on experience from physicians in both front and back office medical clinics provide me with the knowledge and training required. My heart does the rest. The best feeling and reward is when a patient and their family are happy with the care they receive. Being a caregiver not only helps the patient but also gives the family a break and some relief in knowing their loved one is being cared for without worry.

I have been a CNA since 2007. I have worked with Hospice, Hospitals, Rehab Nursing Facilities, and Skill Nursing. I am a peoples person, I am blessed by GOD to have a caring spirit.

I very much enjoy the work I do. It makes me feel like I am making a difference in the lives of the individuals I care for. I actually talk and listen to what they have to say. I believe I am blessed to sit there and listen to the back in the old days stories. At the end of the day it gives me a sense of accomplishment.

Hello, I'm Lawaina Baldwin and I been working in this field for over 25yrs now. My clients love that I'm dependable, very sweet, loving, honest, very compassionate and always do great job in taking care of my clients to the best of my ability. I treat my clients like they're my family. What attracted me to this field is that I started helping my mom in home health then been with it every since. The most thing I love about helping people in need is that I want them to be happy where they're comfortable at which is home and make them feel like they have nothing to worry about as long as I'm there by they're side and knwing they trust me to help them with they're daily needs. It's my passion to help people and I love what I do that's what makes me a great caregiver that every cross paths with them. I became interested in caregiving when my 65 year old friend, Tommy, got throat cancer and I had to take care of him 24/7 for about a year, before he passed. I love the elderly and hold them at the highest level of respect.
