Hello , I've been a certified nursing assistant for about 6 years now , I've worked in nursing homes in dementia units , long term care , rehab and I've Also done private one on one sitting. It makes my day knowing I've made someone's day by helping them or just by being there . Caregiving is my passion and it always be.

I am a dual major student at Alabama State University studying Social work and Psychology with a 3.76 GPA. I am very kind and I love working with people. Before I move to Montgomery. I moved in with my grandparents for 5 years and cared for them every since. I loved being able to transport them different places , caring for them , and keeping them in good health. That attracted me to wanting to become and expand my experience as a caregiver.

I am patient when it comes to taking care of the elderly, I am highly respectful of them and let them set the pace when there is a certain everyday living activity we are accomplishing; I do my best to encourage them and let them make decisions about their care so they can stay as independent as possible, and it is my personal goal each day to walk in with a smile on my face to ensure that my patient and their families know I am more than happy to help them in any way that I can. I am also very understanding when it comes to families worrying about certain things with their lived one(s) and do my best to assure them that I will always keep my patient's best interest at heart. I do my best to comfort families during the grieving process when their loved one(s) pass away by praying for them and telling them they will be in my prayers, and that God will be with them through the difficult time.

I have been a certified nursing assistant since 1993. I have worked in nursing homes, home health and hospice. I currently work as a caretaker for a couple in Sylacauga. I feel that I am very compassionate about my work. I love my patients and families. I do tend to get attached some because I genuinely care about my patients and their well being. I love being able to help people. I honestly didn't know what I was getting into when I was 20 years old but after over 20 years I wouldn't trade it for anything. I have always been told that I was in the right field of work. I have always had great reviews and compliments from my patients and their families.

I believe once people have overlooked my tattoos, they see what type of heart and love I have for helping people. I've been taking care of people born with intellectual disabilities for almost three years now. I left school like most kids and home schooled to help with my great grandmother and I loved seeing her being took care of properly.

I'm very prompt honest and trustworthy I love doing the work that I do I treat my patients like my family I take my time and listen currently seeking a daytime job
