I'm a very kind, caring and generous person. I love to help others, I love making others smile and laugh. Laughter I'd good for the soul. Moving in with my grandparents when I became unemployed has attracted me to become a caregiver. My grandmother is 78 and my grandfather is 86. When I moved in with them I would see how difficult if was for them to do alot of things they used to. So I stepped in and started caring for them. I would cook breakfast,make lunch and dinner everyday for them. I would make sure they took their medications. I did the laundry and alot of other things for them like grocery shopping and taking them to appointments to picking up their medicine. It made me feel great inside to see how I was became their caregiver. I love helping my elders you can learn alot from them while you remind them and let them enjoy life while they are still here. My personal I am proud of is seeing them happy that's the best feeling in life.

I believe that my training, past work experience and my dedication and compassion toward caring for my patients makes me a good candidate for employment with each family throughout my cna and healthcare training I have maintained high levels of academic achievements. I have great experience in working with patients I have assisted patients with their various daily living needs and activities, homemaking chores, sterilization of medical equipment and assisted them with post-operative instructions and ect. I have the skills to work with convalesces and I understand the needs of the patients. I have compassion for the elderly and the ability to communicate well with them im a self motivated person and I pride myself on my ability to motivated others I have worked leadership positions which help me to learn to be a good follower. I have difference experiences working in healthcare with different types of clients I've worked in Home health, Mental health hospitals, and groups homes as A Mental health care worker or Cna for 17 years. I like working as A care giver because I like helping people and I like meeting new people. I enjoy talking to and helping people as A care giver. I'm proud of receiving my GED and enrolling in college.

I am out going, love working with the elderly, it is a passion that I hold dear to my heart. I love to sit and talk with the elderly about their childhoods and what it was like for them to grow up in the older days, how they meet their husband/wife. I have worked in the nursing setting for 7 plus years with geriatric patients. I have also done in home private sitting until the end of life cycle. I enjoy helping and meeting new people.

I got the pleasure of being a caregiver to my lovely grandmother the last year of her life , when I was just 15 and in high school. I've been a caregiver since then.
