Hello my name Is Martine Freeman, I am 52 years old I have 3 kids all three are grown. I have a total of 8 grandbabies. One which lives in my home with his mother. I'm always in good spirits love to joke an laugh, my friends an children are always telling me to be serious welllll that's alittle hard. When I see people down I'm the one that will crack a joke I try cheering people up. What do I enjoy most in being a caregiver, I love taking care of the elderly, I love brightening up their day, I love making them feel comfortable whenever their in my care. What attracted me, well at first I wanted to see if I could be a caregiver whenever lived in Tulsa Oklahoma and as days went by I'm like yes this is something I could do for a long time. They pay just wasn't enough so while working as a PCA I also worked a full time job. I worked in Tulsa as PCA for like 2 years, so whenever I moved to Conway in 2016 I decided to go back to doing PCA, well I got aliitle more experience with different clients which was amazing because I had little to no experience with, paralyzed, Dementia, Altzheimiers, deaf and the blind. I've really learned alot from working with different type of health problems. Now I've never had to work with a lift, and from the looks of things I really couldn't trust myself I'm too scared thinking I wouldn't have the thing snapped on right. But for the most part I have gotten close to all the residents I have had. Oh I even had one that called me the N word, her husband continued to Apologize to me,and like I told him it's totally OK. She had Dementia, and Altzheimiers so she didn't know what she was saying. I did grow close to both her and her husband until they moved away.

I am very friendly and can adapt to any personality. I have had 6 years of caregiving experience working from bed bound clients to fully functioning clients. I have worked with individuals with disabilities in their homes and in living facilities. I enjoy being a caregiver because I can help others who can not fully help themselves.

I am a caring and compassionate person and enjoy taking care of people. I became an LPN in 1989 to help those in need. If I can make a person's life easier by caring and taking care of them, then I have been blessed.

Hello! My name Is Judea but I go by Judy. I have been a CNA for a year now & this is by far the best job I have ever had. I've always saw myself doing something healthcare related, & this fits me the most. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the relationships that I form with the residents. At my nursing home, all of my residents love me & even some of the patients with dementia & Alzheimer's remember my name most of the time. I know it's my voice & my touch that they remember, & probably my scent also. A personal achievement that I am proud of is serving the military for 8 plus years. I am still in the reserves, & I am grateful for everything the military has taught me.

Hi, I'm Renota. I am a Certified Home Health Assistant of 20 years. I have 30 plus years experience in elderly and senior care. I started out in a nursing facility in 1989. While there, we were taught to care for total care (bed patients) as well as independent living, and high risk patients. I am very passionate about the care others because solely, I am responsible for their physical, mental and spiritual care, and I take pride in serving others. I've learned so much from the people I've worked with, and hopefully they've learned from me as well. What keeps me attracted to the care of others is the compassion I feel when I'm caring for the individuals I am with. I have a special spot in my heart for Alzheimer's became I am their eyes, ears, and their voice in this world, and I feel the need to be there for them. I am a very flexible individual as I enjoy working in my yard, therefore it makes it easy for me to assist with individuals that enjoy their yard as well, and also alleviates the fear of leaving your loved ones alone. I also enjoy pets, so there's never a problem with my being around them. I have worked well hand-in-hand with hospice care, and able to maintain records, monitor vitals, medicines and report progress to supervisor, physicians and or medical personnel as needed.

I have ALWAYS enjoyed being needed and helping others out. I would be the girl running to grab bandaids for my friends if they needed one. Iv always been caring and enjoy caring for others. That is a big part of my personality ! It is so enjoyable to be involved in elderly lives ! I find it so rewarding to help those who have lived their life. What a privilege it is and while they might be done living their "best" life, I enjoy bringing them ease and comfort. A part of me feels like I help them enjoy life even though it's not the life they use to have. I have worked with clients on chemo, altimeters, dementia, and gastrointestinal disorders. It has shown me how you come off and say things make a HUGE difference in their every day life. I like to keep it as simple as possible, as stress free as possible, and as comfortable as possible. This makes life easy. I am proud I have found through experience these little tactics out. I absolutely LOVE caregiving. It helps prepares me for my future roles as a further my career. I am 51 & I love helping others. Some years ago I was in a car accident & had to learn the way of living again. I do have a limp & cannot get on my knee s to do any work. Because of all I went through & have to be conscious of my surroundings. It makes it easier for me to be in tune with my client. I have experienced the role of needing a caregiver. All though I have a limp I am totally capable of helping & securing the safety of the client. I love helping people and being apart of bringing peace & comfort to families.

I am a recently divorced 38 yr old mother of two young boys. I needed a 2nd income but could also be flexible with my family. I have always taken care of family and friends my whole life. At the age of 17, I started caring for a woman from my church with MS on the weekends until she passed away. And it took off from there. I have always been a caregiver even to my mother as she battled cancer. I have such a warm heart and helping hand to those who need assistance. The hardest part in life is being in a place where you need help. My heart is to not make that place seem so hard to be in.
