I am a very open minded, calm person that is very dedicated to doing my job the right way. I chose to be a caregiver after taking care of my Great Aunt I love the fact that she knew she had someone she could depend on and care for her and that's what I want to provide to others. Patience, empathy, reliability and honesty are top traits that I have learned to go above and beyond expressing over the decade put into caring for others. My passion began as a teenager, watching my mother operate a day program for mentally and physically challenged adults. I would spend early dismissal days at the program learning how to care and support adults who needed an extra hand. As I matured and ventured out into different career areas, I always seemed to end up back where I was most fulfilled and happy, which is caregiving. The rewards are in the smiles, milestones reached and surpassed and the trust that I build with the individuals and their families. Caregiving has allowed me to travel the US and gain experience in many different settings, while being exposed to the various challenges and conditions others face in the world. Gaining knowledge from medical professionals of all walks and being able to utilize everything I have learned have all benefited those I care for and allowed me to excel at what I love.

I'm a good listener. Having family members with disabilities helped me to understand the desire for families needs for a good caregiver. I am thankful for being a caregiver for my family and friends. I enjoy caregiving because it allows me to give quality service. My greatest personal achievement I was able to take care for my grandparents when they needed me most. Because they took care of me when I needed them.
