Caring for elderly is my passion I have done home care and rehab centers in my past for family and friends for about 10 years. I love working with elderly it makes me feel like I'm not at work and I'm able to have more of a connection with my clients then at a care facility . I cherish all of my clients like if they were my own family members
Hey there, I'm Mia. I'm 32 yrs old. Im a Christian and grew up in church all my life. I've been a caregiver most of my life. I've taken care of children and elderly. I've been caregiving for 12 years. I love what I do and I feel it's my calling in life. I have many achievements and awards from doing a great job! I am a sweet and caring person. I try to help others when I can and strive to be a good worker. I enjoy hiking and visiting attractions as often as I can. I love being outdoors when it's nice.
I have been involved with caring for seniors over the past 14 years. This began simply as a way of lending a hand as needed to those in my neighborhood. Discovering my natural affinity in skillful and compassionate care, I offered my time and services where it developed into part-time work. In February 2016, an opportunity presented itself through the American Red Cross Nursing Assistant Training Program where I obtained necessary training to complete the course with honors, graduating as a Nursing Assistant with First Aid/CPR/AED Certification. I have a great deal of respect for our elderly and those who are in need of convalescent care who simply wish to stay in their own homes as independently as possible. I wish to provide my experience, encouragement and support for dignified care. My availability for part-time work is as follows: Mon.-Fri., AM hours only up to 1pm. DURING THIS TIME OF COVID-19, I HAVE BEEN USING A MORE STRICT & TIMELY DEGREE OF GUIDELINES SINCE THE BEGINNING THIS VIRUS CAME TO BE A HEALTH RISK TO KEEP MY CLIENTS SAFE & HEALTHY. I CONTINUE TO REMAIN HEALTHY! Thank you for your consideration in this difficult time!
It all started with my first nanny job. I was 19 a young mother of 1 and introduced to a family who I still work pt for 16 years later. There were gaps in my employment with them due to changes in all our lives over the years. In the first break I started working as a caregiver in a care home. After a few months I came to the conclusion it just wasn't the environment for me. I tried a few other jobs but I was always drawn to help people. In 2009 I became my grandmother's ft In home caregiver. I then realized others needed help in their homes also. At some points I had 3-4 clients throughout the day. I have done it all...cooking, cleaning, shopping, transportation, errands, appointments, I can even mow the lawn if needed. I have worked my schedule to care for kids early morning hours providing care and transportation. I usually work late mornings and afternoons with seniors. I am honest, reliable, and trustworthy. I care for all my clients as if they were my own family.
The reason I became a caregiver was because my grandmother died alone in a nursing home. I have also worked in facilities. I left due to the fact I didn't like the way the clients were treated I couldn't give them enough attention. The reason why I love working in homes with one or two clients at a time is because you get to know them you get to bond with them and they become like family. 80% of my clients I have stayed with till the end and that is because most of my clients are terminal.
Hi I'm April, I started out as a caregiver when my grandfather was in hospice care. Knowing he was dying I just wanted to make him comfortable and just simply care for him. I would say that's when I realize that I would devote my like to serving people in need and I believe that elderly ppl need it the most. I've always enjoy conversations with my clients weather it's talking about their past or giving some life lessons , learning from the elderly is beautiful knowledge. It is what made me the caregiver I am today! Being a mother of five children, has given me patients and understanding along with my experience of being a Certified Nurse Assistant and a caregiver for over 20 years. I will definitely be a wonderful fit for your loved one. So When can I start lol
I am naturally caring and compassionate person; So doing just so will give me sense of accomplishment that I am doing something good. A personal achievement for me was when one of the toughest person I am taking care of stated that I just made him feel important and apologizes for being mean and asked me to take care of him from that day on. And when I simply cover them with blanket while sleeping and says to you " Your such a sweet person and Thank you for taking care of me every night ". And that feeling of rewardness when simply you put a smile and genuine laugh when they see you. That is an accomplishments for me, at the end of the day, I go to sleep smilling, thinking I just made someone's day. I am hardworking, caring, compassionate, patient, understanding, dependable, reliable and flexible.
