What attracted me to be a great Caregiver is that when my Grandmother was alive she did not have the proper care as she needed.
Also, with my Father with his diabetics seening his glucose drop and go up. This made me want to help those that are not able to care for themselves.
Caring for others is in my nature and becoming a caregiver just helped me to improved and learn skills to keep doing it. It's priceless to be able to assist a person and being there to see their gratitude with a smile or kind words. Being a caregiver had give me the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds and culture. Over six years of experienced helping clients with dementia, Alzheimer, medication management and daily routine activities.
Retired RN. Over 40 yrs of experience,I love providing care and needs to Adults, geriatric, Disabled, Chronically ill. Friends and Family. I have compassion & empathy. Let clients know that I care about them and want to help them. I'm trustworthy and keep confidential Information and I'm flexible.
I love the challenge of working with seniors because I am rewarded by helping people of all ages.I am particularly blessed by working with older people because I have a passion for them. I enjoy listening to the stories and past experiences of the elderly.
Being a caregiver you MUST have the Empathy and compassion. It is essential that a caregiver feel the desire to this kind of Job.
By showing both empathy and compassion, caregivers should let the client they are caring to know that they care about them or the person and want to do what they can to help them.
To me, A \"Good caregivers\" are those who naturally have an urge to help others. Often times, they are people who have always placed a priority on helping other people. They want to make the world a better place and they do it with one home care patient at a time. Becoming a good home caregiver isn't something that will necessary happen immediately, but if the basic qualities are there, those people can develop their skills over time to become great!!!!
Hello,
My name is Paula Scarcelli. I recently decided to head back down to sunny California . I came from raising my daughter in Portland, Oregon for 18 years. I am a caregiver and medical assistant. I am very proud to have achieved this goal at 46 years of age. I am very grateful for the support of my family in this endeavor. I did my externship at the Samaritan Women's Clinic and I really loved the ladies I worked with there. Since I graduated from my MA program I have found that I prefer to work with people one on one in their home to make a difference for them and their families. This way you or your family member can have the attention deserved as opposed to the rushed feel of a doctors office. I feel more fulfilled in the long run as well. The larger corporations are more about the profits then the patients and I am not. I became a medical assistant to make a difference and to help others and that is what I am seeking to do! I love people and I work well with the elderly and disabled because of my background with both. I love people, travel, music and I am extremely empathetic. I am a lover of the arts and enjoy my own hobbies in the arts. I work with both male and female. Hope to hear from you soon.
Skills & Certifications: Medical Assistant (MA), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Besides experience and knowledge I acquired from nursing school, helping others has always been my passion. I find joy and fulfillment knowing I make a difference in someone else's life. I am patient and willing to adjust to the needs of my clients. I try to put myself in their shoes, to try and understand them. I treat my patients with love and respect, and with dignity, just like how I would want to be treated if I was in their same situation. Since I was a young age, I have always been interested in helping other people. I enjoy helping others who have trouble helping themselves especially the elderly. I completed my vocational nursing studies in 2012 and it was at that point I realised that helping people is my calling. I love that being a caregiver, you can make a difference. It's a rewarding experience providing care and assistance to those who are no longer able to do so and to know that I have done my job right when I see smiles on their faces. The moments that make me most proud of as a care giver is when I see my patients doing well, seeing their happy faces.
A highly motivated goal oriented caregiver/nurse, with so much about kindness, empathy, wisdom and patience. I started working within family members by taking care of out loved ones elders and kids.
As years pass by I found myself committed to this type of work. Making people's lives better by providing a unique care based on their personality and needs. I'm currently a nursing student and pursuing this path to hopefully becoming a general practice doctor. Which is my ultimate goal. Having more than 4 years of experience taking care of my loves ones and yours. The best personal achievement I have received is the smile on my client's face before I leave for the day. Knowing that I have done a good job on making them happy and I'm proud of it. I have experience working with multiple cases of clients from Alzheimer's to dementia, to a more medical need such as G-tube to catheters. My availability is open and I will work around your preferred schedule. I have both CNA and HHA licenses both valid until 2017. Also valid CPR and RNA (restorative nurse aid) certifications. Best way to reach me is through my cellphone. You can either call or text for an interview. Hope to hear from you soon!
