I retired from state employment as a secretary nine years ago, and decided to start a new career that would give me an opportunity to be of service to others. Caregiving has been the perfect second career for me. I started my first care giving job with the Sacramento Senior Companion Program. As a volunteer, I provided care and companionship for elderly women for one year. I worked with clients through the Seniors Helping Seniors Program after that, but for the past seven years, I've primarily worked part time for clients through the County of Sacramento's In-Home Support Services Program (IHSS). My duties include basic housekeeping, and providing transportation to doctor's appointments, grocery stores, and other locations as needed. I also offer advocacy services for clients with financial, medical, or home service issues; research prescription information; provide home safety advice; and offer companionship. I'm always eager to learn new things, and welcome any questions you may have about my experience and qualifications. At this time, I hope to find part time work during weekdays. I may be open to working occasional weekends. My car is almost new, and my DMV record is clean. I prefer that job sites be less than 20 miles from my home in Antelope. Thank you for taking the time to review my profile, and I hope we will have an opportunity to work together in the future!

Hi, I am a registered Care Provider with the state ID# 7507076149. I have been a care visitor for 17 years. I care-visited a lady for 7 yrs as a volunteer, then part-time paid through IHSS before she went into assisted living. During this time, I held a corporate job. I attended college studying Gerontology, which is my passion. I have always been involved with care giving. When my father passed, I decided that I would do what really matters to me which is care giving. I enjoy knowing that I am truly making a difference everyday in someone's life as well as giving respite to families. I am responsible, punctual, take initiative, am patient, a good listener and I communicate well. I feel it's important that a person remain as independent as long as possible. Often seniors are overlooked yet they have so much to contribute and share. I would welcome an opportunity to interview. I am happy to have you check my references, these are families I am currently visiting or visited for a good length of time. I will gladly submit to a DOJ check and drug screen check. Thank you for viewing my profile.
I am personable and enjoy being a home care provider. I became a caregiver because I wanted to help others by assisting them with their activities of daily living. I enjoyed caring for many seniors over the years and learned quite a lot from them. I believe I'm a great caregiver because I have had extensive training in a skilled nursing facility as well as in many private homes. I also enjoy seeing the difference that I often make in people's lives. I became a nursing assistant back in 1982 and acquired my Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license at the convalescent hospital where I worked. I then went on to work for several home care agencies and acquired my Certified Home HeaIth Aide (CHHA) license. I have worked as an independent contractor caregiver for years. I am willing to commute for full-time employment. I have great references and will be happy to submit them upon request.
I have over 20 years of experience in providing quality and sincere care in private homes. I'm a Certified caregiver. I have experience providing all different levels of care from those independent to the ones bedridden. I provide conscious care and have a passion for caring for the elderly. The joy of being a part of that experience is unmatchable and a blessing I cherish. Im a Caregiver who really cares!
Nursing is a calling for me. Making sure that people receive the best possible care I am able to provide is my most important goal. Safety first always, compassion, dignity, privacy, respect and hope are all important attribute's that I find essential to good nursing care. It is a meaningful gratifying experience to know that I can add to someone's life and possibility bring goodness when health issues can be a challenge and so often depressing. Good nursing requires being completely present while in someone's home or in a facility. My standards are no cell phones while at work, no clock watching, and I always address people with respect by using MR.or Mrs. (last name) until I am encouraged otherwise. Using Mama or Papa and other terms of endearment are not appropriate for me personally in professional healthcare. I use old fashion "yes Mam, yes Sir, no Mam, no Sir. and in an audible understandable language. CNA #00648980
My name is Margaret and I am mostly experienced in Memory Care. I like caring for Memory Care clients. But I do have clients with other conditions, such as, stroke, diabetes and congested heart failure etc.. In 2011 when my ex mother in law became sick I became one of her caregivers. It was then that I realized how much I enjoyed caring for her. I do believe this is my calling. I was once offered a position as manager of a home health company. I did not think I could do that job. I was right because I need to be the caregiver not the office person. I love my job. I like everything about caregiving. I love my seniors. I love their stories and their laughter. I'm happy when they are happy. I look forward everyday to seeing my seniors. I love cooking, cleaning and fussing over my seniors, so I'm a natural at caregiving. Remember if you love what you do it's never a job. My fee is between $20 and $35 an hour.
