I'm a mother of 5 and grandmother to 13. I've worked as a caregiver for the last 15+ years and counting. I love my clients and working with the elderly. What started out as a job became second nature and probably alot of that has to do with my cultural background. I loved it so much, I paid for my own training and certifications to be an independent caregiver. I got bonded, insured and registered with the state and I have several great references from the loving families of those whom I have cared for over the years. I've had great experiences with those who I have worked for and with, along with learning from wonderful nurses and doctors that I've interacted with during the care of many of my clients. I am very proud of the achievements I've made in taking the initiative to learn as I go with each client, and each client came with various conditions and ailments, and some with multiple conditions. It has been a great journey of growth and connection for me like no other and I find it so fulfilling to be able to help our elderly population in need. They have been all like family.

About me, I always wanted to be a registered nurse since I was a little girl. I didn't get that far the goal was to take care of people. I love what I do. I have loved being in home healthcare for a long time. I have found my niche, per say. I am a positive but gentle personality. I can talk when needed & be quiet when needed also. I treat people in their homes exactly how they want to be treated & do what they like having done. Kinda like "Burger King," saying, "having it your way." It is your home & I try to make it be how you want it to continue to be. I am very patient & want those I care for to feel good when I am there. I do not plan on changing their care plan & what is already working unless the client or family tells me otherwise. I enjoy so many aspects of the job. I enjoy doing for the client. I enjoy cooking their meals when needed & I take my time with the client. I will do for them anything they would need me to do & make their days enjoyable. My #1 priority is client safety & feeling comfortable with me as their caregiver. I have lots of experience, I have my CNA lic here in CA also was a Medical Assistant & I am an LVN but not licensed in the state of CA. I came back to my home state in 2011 & did not take the test as I was going to do something else when I arrived back. With my caregiving experience I do not think I will get licensed out here. I have let too much time laspe, unfortunately.
