Hello, my name is Xochi, a flower in the Aztec language. However, my middle name is Amy, which is easier to remember. I have been told often that I have a big heart and compassion for others. I have been previously in the social work field for the last twenty-five years. But what came next has impacted my life and led me to the decision I am much happier in the caregiver field. I was raised by my single mother and grandmother, who passed away a year from one another in 2019 and 2020. I had the privilege to care for and be there for them both, which I see as a personal achievement. Then the light bulb went on, and I never returned to my previous job. Today, I help the seniors and disabled in my neighborhood and care for my two senior citizens, four four-legged family members, Boy a Jack Russell Bread, 16 years old, and Darla Carolina, 17.

I've been in the medical field for over 13+ years and I absolutely love it. I started in the medical field right out of High School and I'm currently attending school to receive my Bachelors Degree in Health Care Management. I want to continue to expand my knowledge and be a great pillar in the Medical Community. I'm extremely skilled with Majority of all Medical Conditions and treat others with respect. I became a cna in 1997 and continued my desired position for 12 yrs ranging from convalescent homes to Lindsay and Sierra hospitals then my last employer was private in home that's where I realized I was my happiest, the friendship and bond you create is so much more then just helping someone out and going on your way, I bonded and made a friend along the way which was good for all parties involved. I have been a stay at home mom and wife for the past 2-3 yrs now since I lost my friend due to the battle but I am eager to help another in need and possibly make a new friend.

I am very friendly, truthful, honest, and caring . I like to help the individual stay active so they do not lose the ability to do for themselves. I have worked in the medical field for many years. I have handled many different scenarios and situations so nothing surprises me to much. I am not judge mental and I enjoy helping the individual to feel good about their day and what they have accomplished. Positivity and Smiles go along way. No one is perfect However, I strive to be the best person I can be everyday. A personal achievement of mine was when I worked with an individual who was non verbal and he had a lot of behaviors and he could be very mean. I spoke to him and treated him like he was the same as everyone else. I cooked a special dinner for him and made it all homemade from scratch and he watched me make the whole meal. When I served him he looked at me took a bite then reached over and grabbed my arm gently and kissed my arm and he smiled so big. It took about a month to get that acceptance from him. When he finally accepted me it made me tear up. I felt so accomplished because this guy ran off so many Direct support Professionals. I felt as though I could do anything because of the wonderful feeling of gratitude and gratefulness that I received from that individual.

I have always enjoyed helping other people live their lives to the fullest extent possible. I have compassion for the elderly and disabled and my goal is make their lives easier and more fulfilling for as long as possible. I have a personal commitment to making people as comfortable as they can be when they are ill or experiencing any condition that causes them to require in-home care.

I'm a kind caring Christian lady. My passion is helping others in need. I'm a people person and enjoy seeing other smile. It's good for the soul. I'm outgoing, compassionate, hard working, responsible, dependable.

Helping a senior live another day in the comfort of their own home, is what make me passionate. I'm amanda Rogers, ive had CNA training 2yrs in a facility, and 4 yrs in home provider. little experience with Alzheimer's , dementia. and 6months with cancer patient. I assist with Activities of Daily Living and Intermental Activities Daily Living, Bathing, grooming , toileting, feeding,meal prep, Transportation to Dr, errands, and most importantly companionship is always the first.
