I'am a warm compassionate and caring individual. It my way of giving back we had help with my mom when she broke her hip. Helping other people making sure they are cared for. I worked with a man with Parkinson disease as well as a diabetic. He was 96 years old when I begin working with him. He was on hospice, with six months to live, he live to be 100 years old and six months. His children say that was due to my cooking and taking care of him, talking with him he just needed someone to show him love and attention.

I am a soft hearted person. I always believe that I can fix the world and make everything better. I always go above and beyond to help everyone even if it means I stay without. What made me become a caregiver was when my dad was in a recovery home and a patient next to him had no one to visit him and he was so sad. He said to me, "I wish I had a daughter like you". After finding out he had no one, I told him "You just got one". The smile and happiness on his face did it for me. I gave love, hug him and took little things to him he liked. Sadly he passed about 1 month later. That is the reason I love not like being a caregiver. To give love and happiness at their time of need. My personal achievement that I am so proud of is writing and completing my book. I am a Domestic Violence survivor and my book tells my story. I am also proud and happy that I worked for 10 years working for ACTOR AND WRITER MR. SIDNEY REZNICK until he passed in 2004. I hope when I finally get it published, it can help someone. I love to help and care for defenseless people and give them as much love and happiness I can. I have been working as a caregiver for the past 15 years.

My baby brother had got really sick at the point of dying cuz they couldn't figure out what was wrong he finally got a little better they sent him home and I took care of him cuz they put him a pick line, I've also helped my friend with her parents until the y passed I helped take care my moms friend father he had dementia so I had to give him his medication also bathe him my last client I had just passed away back in the middle of march I was so happy that I could bring him joy for his last days here on earth his family said I spoiled him it's that he reminded and me so much of my grandfather so I'm just glad I can help people!!!

What attracted me to being a caregiver would be my parents with my mother having multiple hernia replacements, and my father being a dialysis patient, on top of ongoing health conditions far as diabetes etc. What I enjoy about being a caregiver is that I'm able to help someone who isn't capable of preforming their daily task on their own, knowing that I am capable with my skills and ability to provide to someone who is in need makes me nothing but honored. I was attracted to caring giving because I worked in the field with women that had addictions to drug & alcohol abuse, women that were in domestic violence relationnships. I enjoy spending time with people, helping them achieve their goals, and ambitions. I am proud I was able to care for my former client for 22 years and she became like family and she is now able to do more things for herself. I also cared for a client for 5 years with colon cancer until she passed.

I've been a caregiver for 35 yrs. I started in this field when I was just 17. I love what I do. I come from a medical family and decided at a very young age that I wanted to be a doctor or nurse. I specialize in geriatric dementia and Alzheimers care. Every client needs to know they're truly cared for on every level with love, patience, and kindness. I enjoy learning from them ... they often have amazing histories, stories and lessons to share.I'm often with my clients for the duration of their lives.

I became a caregiver when my grandmother got I'll I was the one caring for her till The time of her death,I felt so much joy in my heart knowing I was able to make her transition with comfort.
