Personality traits that help me be a great caregiver include compassion, integrity, reliability, and my outgoing nature. I enjoy being with people and learning from them. I also really enjoy helping people. What attracted me to being a caregiver is the same thing that attracted me to being an EMT - helping people. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is learning from people that are more experienced than I. Also, I do enjoy helping people and spending time with them. A personal achievement that I am proud of is my kids. I have 3 kids, ages 22, 10, and about to turn 3. A boy and 2 girls. They are my world. Another achievement I am proud of is being a firefighter/ EMT. My dad was a firefighter/EMT and I was very proud to follow in his footsteps. He was my hero. One more thing I am proud of, that is a work in progress, is that I am currently learning how to code. I am almost done learning Python. I am very proud of that.

I've been in a caregiving roll of some sort almost my entire life. I love what I do and have a passion for it. I love being of service to others. I had a gentleman I cared for that had trouble moving his feet and was extremely tall...I asked him if he liked to dance and he responded that he loved to...I said let me lead and he was able to get around with my help so much better. ...proud moment of problem solving.

Hello! I am Skeyelin. I am 21 years old and have been taking care of people who need me since 2014. I began taking care of my grandmother back then, and now have a few proper years of healthcare experience. I have always been extremely caring with a positive and friendly attitude. I love hearing stories and engaging with my clients! If putting in some effort can make someone's day or life easier, I'm always happy to do so. Later on in life, I would like to go to school and get my LPN, but my life goal is to be a registered nurse. I'm taking every day as I can and making the most out of what I can. I retired this year and decided I would not be home sitting down and getting lonely or flabby. I have been providing respite care for about 4 years for church members during weekends so I decided to make it my retirement job. I am very patient, love to clean, cook, chat. I have been taking care of hospice and assisted living seniors for several years during weekends while working full time during the week so I am now doing it for an agency and also taking clients on my own. What I like the most about my caregiving job is to see my seniors being happy and no longer scared and lonely wondering who will help them to stay independent as long as they can.

Since I was young I have wanted to help people and care for them, I have a huge heart and I am very compassionate. I enjoy the bond I have with my Clients and Enjoy Making them as comfortable as possible. I took care of my grandfather back in January of 2019 He was diagnosed with Lung Cancer and was put on hospice, I knew That there was nothing else I would rather do than Help as many people that I can that could use my help.
