I have over 3 years experience working with the elderly and over 6 years working with persons with Disabilities. I am cpr/ first aid certified, availiable Mon- Fri 8am- 5pm, experience with personal care, meal prep, medication reminding, lite housekeeping, running errands and loving companionship.

Very strong, patient, happy person, I truly love what I do. Becoming a caregiver/nurse gave me the opportunity to make a difference in someone else's life, that is such a gift itself. I consider myself to have been in the care business for a number of years at one time owning my own in home care services and then later graduating with a master's in counseling offering other services of clinical care, and pre need services. Now I'm at a point in my life that I just want to slow down a bit, still helping, but give of my time to families who are in need of help in Care giving. Care giving is very rewarding, no matter what capacity of care giving, it gives to self worth when you can truly find the time and open your heart to someone in need.

I love being a caregiver because I help change the lives of my clients and also the lives of their families. I feel helping others is a blessing. Im a caregiver because I enjoy helping others, helping others is rewarding to me. Home health is a way for the elderly to continue to live in their home and still feel comfortable in their aging years. I've been doing home health since 1994. I have a background check and CPR. I have my own car.

My attributes that I think will be helpful and positive in this field are numerous. I love the geriatric populace. I love to take care of people. I love to lend a hand whenever possible. I love to make people happy and always strive to maintain a positive attitude when the going gets tough. I have had many difficult patients, angry and rebellious attitudes to contend with and so far it has helped in the medical field. I don't find personal hygiene and tasks of a more uncomfortable description as daunting. I love a challenge and don't mind cleaning and organizing. I am accustomed to giving medications, scheduling appointments and relaying information confidentially to family members that are concerned. I have been CPR certified and Medical Assistant certified up to this past year when I stopped working to move to Florida. I have a son with respiratory issues, so am familiar with inhaled medications, antibiotics and many medicines in the oncology and family practice field. I am also certified in yoga and have taught yoga for several years specializing in medical conditions like cancer, stiffness, balance and coordination issues. I am happy to help cook and clean if needed. I am sure I could add some sunshine to your loved ones day! Every person counts and every small thing counts!

I come from a long line of caregivers, taking care of others is what I do best. I am not new to this field I have done training for a very long time.I have empathy for others, an can always put myself in someone else's shoes, so I never pre judge others or fail to show how much I care. I love people, is why I started in this field I have learned so much from my patients.I try to make their day a little more enjoyable....

What i like the most about caregiving is the ability to treat those as I would want myself to be treated in time of need. I find that with compassion, good listening skills and trying to understand and empathize with my clients not only does my client feel loved but learn that they can work towards a goal, increase their independance or have one that will help meet my clients needs . I find it extremely rewarding personally and always find new friends and family along this path.
