Hi my name is clarissa Adams I'm a single mother of one and been caregiving for 10 years now. I chose this career because enjoy creating bonds with clients and their family and this is also a job that has to be done. I used to work in a nursing home and did not like the way the clients were being treated and I felt like no matter how much I report anything even though I will if I see something wrong its up to the caregivers to make sure that they show compassion and be considerate of the clients and do their job properly. I understand that sometimes the family just cant be there for their loved one and it completely doesn't mean they don't love them that's where I come in I have no issue with working over I'm very reliable I often sacrifice my holidays for clients but I consider them family as well. Most of all I would love to get to know you the caretakers of my future clients. I'm very polite and have plenty of experience in hospice care and basic needs care. People always need to be treated with dignity and respect but particularly so when they are ill or injured. I am an excellent listener and communicator as these are skills necessary to help someone who needs care to be trusting of my abilities. My CPR and first aid certifications expired in Aug. but I would be more than willing to renew these if offered a position. I have been a caregiver previously and performed Phys Therapy exercises, bathing, dressing, cooking, transportation to social events and doctors and hospital testing appointments, cleaning and many other necessities.
