I became a caregiver about 4 years ago I absolutely enjoy working with the elderly and love being there for them physically mentally and emotionally I have a very loving vibe and also very caring I'm very outgoing and easy going I love to talk with the elderly people and see how there life was growing up and just being there for someone for them to talk to so they won't feel alone. I feel that having a caring nature is very important in the healthcare field and becoming a caregiver is a great way to master that skill. I love being able to help those that aren't able to help themselves anymore. It's such a humbling experience to help others with tasks that are often taken for granted.
Being a caregiver is not something one picks it sort of picks you! I became a caregiver many many years ago. When I seen family members who could no longer care for their loved ones which leading them to be placed in care of strangers and or facilities, or the sad endings of passing away. I am a mother of three children. I enjoy being a mother and being a provider to them. I understand that it is very challenging to juggle the two but I guess that comes naturally being a mother. Your work is never finished. I am proud to say I have had the most excellent experiences while being a caregiver. Two of my clients I was with for several years up until the day they departed earth. It truly reminds you of how precious life is. I have had time invested in working in large facilities were I was responsible for the care of 15 or more patients. I enjoyed it, but enjoy one on one care the most. I do not only bond with the individual I also try to build a relationship with the family as well. Not being able to spend time with the loved ones who needs the care is very trying on the family members. I totally understand that. I just want to be able to continue to make a difference for people who need the extra help. Its a blessing to me to have so much passion for this line a work. I aim to provide extraordinary care for each and every individual I interact with!

I specialize according to my academic and professional background with handling individuals that suffer from either a mental/physical illness/disability more specifically, psychology related field. I have experience both professional and personal helping those that may be in need of services related to caregiving. I am very hardworking, compassionate and a real team player when it comes to giving and treating others how I would like to be treated if I was in their place. I worked in a alzethmeizers unit as a dietary aide and I was very blown away with the individuals I was servicing, due to the huge compassion behind mental illness and offering services to those that are in need. What I enjoy the most about caregiving is conversation, there is a great deal of knowledge to be learned from our older population and the fat that there's a job that pairs the two together, ultimately completes my goals of wanting to get back into working as a caregiver.
