I genuinely care about others, no matter the age. Outside of my wishes of being a medical assistant, I wanted to be a caregiver because I would have one-on-one time with the person. This desire of mine grew as I started working for Clark Lindsey. As a waitress, I get to know the residents to an extent. The reason I joined Synergy (home health care), was to be a companion to residents that may not have that or any type of care as they used to. Knowing that they don't get to see their loved ones as much as they want to, I feel even closer to them because I feel like I can be that person for them-someone who is close to them, cares for them, provides safety, and to really listen and have interest in them. For the client that I currently have as well as others in the past, I learn a lot of life experiences from them and I love to see their eyes light up when they tell me parts of their past as if they are reliving it again and again. Lastly, my personal achievements that I'm proud of happens at Clark Lindsey and with a client I used to have. At Clark Lindsey, when residents would come up to me (when I'm working, or just visiting) telling me that they always enjoy seeing me, always makes my day. Also, recently with a client, I aided in the recovery of one walking again. Even though, I don't see him anymore, I'm happy that he is with his wife and truly happy.

Why I would love to be a caregiver because I love to talk to older people

What helps me be a great caregiver is that I am sweet, I have compassion for others, I enjoy talking with people and I am friendly. What attracted me to be a good care giver is that I enjoy making people day and I love helping out with someone needs. I am a people person, I am very bubbly with my personality and I'm a hard worker and reliable.

Well I been taking care of my mom or auntie for many years just to help around I would cook clean and remind them when it time to take their medications. However this made me think about being a home caregiver. Even tho I only help my mom and auntie out I enjoy every minute of helping them out I enjoy being around older people. Overall the caregiver job being so much joy to my heart people I always love help someone out no matter the age I love see their different personalities it being joy and you learn a lot to while working with different people. One thing I am proud of that I have achieved the fact that I was a little bit younger when i started help my mom and aunt out but when I got to know what they go through out the daily i just watch closely and learn quickly and just kept either my mom or auntie or track with their daily lives.

Im passionate I'm very caring I care about every resident I take care of . I always use to take care of my great grandmother an my aunt before they both had past I always loved hearing different story's they guide you on the right path an I always learn something new about life and how it works . I'm proud of the young lady I've become in the pass years I'll always listen to the person I'm giver care to .

Hi! I'm Shanice. Nice to meet you . I've been a caretaker all my life basically, as I've been tending to my grandparents and great grandparents for a while before they passed on. I'm a very caring person who always looks out for people, even total strangers. I'm fun, compassionate and love to talk about history Haha. I enjoy the warmth of being a caregiver. Having the opportunity to help others is my passion and I believe it's something I'll forever do. I'm currently an LPN and is in school to further my education to BSN.

I love being a caregiver because it gives me a chance to help people who need it and build a bond. I am very outgoing, kind hearted and a great listener when needed! Hi my name is Jennifer and I have always enjoyed taking care of people in one fashion or another. I became a CNA in 1993 in NC and worked in many different venues ie; Ltc facilities hospitals , home health and agency. The medical field always has fascinated me so here I am almost 30 years still involved in it. I have also work as a customer service representative so I never ventured far from dealing with people. If I can impact a person's life by helping in a small way then I have served my purpose for that given day. One of my hardest experiences I have ever endured was when I took care of my Mom when she was given a terminal diagnosis of cancer. That in itself showed me that my job as a caregiver is always needed desperately.
