I became a Nursing Assistant when my grandfather was diagnosed with Cancer it was hard on my grandmother, but once I stepped in with bathing, helping with light housekeeping around the house or just letting my grandmother get out for an hour or two her load was lightened it was a blessing. I felt giving back to my grandfather for all the love and support he has given me all the years was truly from the heart, he later passed away within three months then my grandmother was diagnosed with Cancer and I stepped in for her with just myself and my little children and again it was a blessing but challenging at same time but God gave me strength through my trail and made me strong. If i can give that to everyone I come in contact with am complete because it's from the heart helping someone with a bath, dressing them for the day, of just having a conversation means a lot to so many.. I love what I do and can give another individual
I became a caregiver to help others, it's always given me pleasure knowing I was able to make someone else's life a little better. I like being a caregiver because it allows me to give back what has been in me. The thing I'm mostly proud of is how much I've accomplished throughout my life. I'm 37 years of age and I've been a CNA for about 13 years now. I'm a very family-oriented, compassionate person who cares about the level of care I provide to others. I'm very dedicated to those I provide services for. I believe in the clients' right to choose his/her care along with treating the client and their loved ones with dignity and respect.
Summer Update [?]: I am free and available for the entire summer until day after Labor Day, in which afterwards, I go back to my schedule below. After Labor Day Availability: I am available late evenings, overnight til 4am w/sleep, & some weekends can be negotiated. What makes me a great caregiver is my patience and ability to take the lead to discern when a situation needs action or not. I have had many clients whose demands were very different but I adjusted right away bc I do understand the need for each person to have dignity and still feel as though they have a level of independence. I have serviced those as young as 38 with terminal cancer to those who were a mature age of 88 with heart, mobility, and respiratory issues, dementia, Alzheimer's, and bed-ritten, so I am well-rounded. I am a mother of 2 boys now young men and I am married but I have still devoted countless hours for my clients, even living in with them 24/7 and working 12 to 24 hour days, 7 days a week. I do not mind at all. I am gracious and love people too much. I will be a promising catch.
I knew from a young age that I always wanted to help people so with that in mind after high School I pursued what I knew I would be good at helping senior citizens through the years I have learned a lot and also through experience with working with agencies where most of the time they just throw you in and expect you to learn everything which was fine with me 18 years of experience later and I've had no complaints.

i am a happy person and always willing to help, what attracted me to be a care giver my mom has Alzheimer's for about 17 years and i took care of her and my boyfriend had multiple sclerosis took care of him for 6 years until passed away . i enjoy seeing a smile on my clients face in spite of their illness. my personal achievement is buying my home and help feeding the homeless.
My 13 years experience in caring and assisting people who can't do for themselves. My characters (trustworthy, reliable, responsible, accountable, caring) shows me with so much compassion for the people I serve makes me a great Caregiver/Personal Assistant/CNA. I became a CNA/Caregiver/Personal Assistant because I enjoy taking care of people who have lost their ability to handle their basic needs. I like being a CNA/Cargiver/Personal Assistant cause I take comfort in knowing that I make people comfortable as possible, put a smile on their face, and help improve the quality of life for them during what can be a trying time in their life. One personal achievement I am proud of is being the main role, for 6 years, in helping a man regains a positive outlook on/for his life after suffering a Stroke that left him with paralized on his right side, wheel chair bound, and told that he would never walk again. I committed myself to be his leaning tower(Personal Assistant/Caregiver). After 5 years of going to Physical and Occupational therapies 3 times a week with him, learning the exercises, then assisting him with these exercises in his home.he is no longer wheel chair bound, he walks 2 miles a day , he drive his vehicle, he's continues exercising in a gym, and he's no longer depress about his ability but encourage others living with a disability.

I love taking care of my Elders. I have always been in this field taking care of grandmother, my mom and my sister. The best part of this job is the smile that I put on the client's face when I know they are satisfied and happy with my work. I have good experience in hospice care also and that came from taking care of both of my grandmothers. It was an emotional experience and I was happy to do it because no one in the family wanted to do that kind of job. I am a trooper and I love my job.I know my God gave me this Gift to take care of his Seniors and I Obey..
