Hello, my name is Melba! My experience with caregiving started the year of 2010. I started caring seniors to make a difference in their lives. For people with high levels of care needed, my support in invaluable. Treating them with attentive, proper, and respectful care is a significant role to ensure they retain their dignity and independence during the latter stages of life. For me, helping seniors and others is a great accomplishment and feels highly rewarding, knowing that I could turn a unbearable day into a great one. Caregiving taught me knowledge from listening to experiences and stories one might gladly share. Memories are priceless and can give a wonderful insight and transport you to a time from a person's different perspective. To me, having that kind of opportunity gives life more meaning. As we can connect with an individual in such a way, we also learn to appreciate and be more empathetic towards others. And to be an encouraging helping hand when someone needs it the most!

Single mom of a teenager Started caregiving 6 years ago The people I have met has made me a stronger person and I love what I do, love the variety of people I have met , but in this job you have to be very patient and know how to deal with a lot of challenges and behaviors, are jobs aren't easy and you have to deal with stressful situations and know how to deal with them , every year we have to take are annual Training and refresher courses, my main specialty is Dementia and Alzheimer's disease, but that's why I love my job to help people and sometimes they need to someone to talk too, or just a shoulder to cry on, being a single parent makes me stronger in doing my job and know I have someone to live for and help older clients in there daily lives and endeavors.

I believe what helps me be a great caregiver is I believe in honesty intergrity and trustworthy. I love being a caregiver because you get to experience helping people in many different ways and I really enjoy the fact that I can help. My personal achievements that I'm proud of are completing high school school and getting my certification in nursing now I'm in school to be a nurse .

I am very patient and gentle,I always adapt to new situation and condition. I am not a perfect being but I love to learn and I accept corrections . I am humble, respectful and trustworthy. I have been a caregiver for 3years now and still counting it has been interesting for me doing this job and I feel amazingly joyful helping seniors. I enjoy the fact that most seniors I have worked for have never given a bad report about me and the smile and comfort they show when I work with them.
