I am someone who grew up seeing my family lend a hand. Growing up my parents had a foster home, so we had lots of kids going in and out and some became permanent family. I think that started my love to take care of people. Also the inevitable, you grow up and in turn, the people around you grow old too. I visited nursing homes and saw the way they were treated and it wasn't always well. I loved babies growing up as well, was the family babysitters for years, until I could get a real job of course. You know they say that some people are meant to be nurses/caregivers. Because it's not meant for everyone. I genuinely love being of use to someone, to help, to see the gratitude people give when you're helping them or just being nice in general. I think being a caregiver has taught me life lessons. Being patient, and kind, and stop to say hello, ask how someone's day was, have small talk, just be humble and a genuinely good person. I've learned time management, multitasking, just how quick you can get attached to someone you never know before, and the power of helping others!

The most important aspect of being a caregiver to me is building a relationship with my clients that becomes more of a family rather than a job or their caregiver. I feel that it helps me to help others! I live to make others smile, feel important as anyone should feel,and never felt alone or scared that they don't have someone there for them. I loved my grandmother I was so close with her she got sick I took care of her and I was who she had . So it helps remind me of her and the wisdom I gained from her was tremendous! I love to cook and bake. I don't mind cleaning at all I find it a great stress reliever. I enjoy stories and conversation I like learning about others and I find it very rewarding to see someone I'm helping smile and see the light shine from them because they have the help they need and deserve that I have provided for them. I am available for any day and hours are open to any! I am a single recently divorced woman I'm a homebody and I enjoy walking and live animals. Hello my name is kaytlynn, most of my friends call me Kayt(pronounced Kate). I have been a CNA for 3 going on 4 years, but before that i have taken care of my Mother since i was a teenager, she is completely deaf in one ear, and only has 10 percent hearing in the other, she has hearing aides , false teeth, arthritis, has had a double bypass, and a total hysterectomy, she has COPD, and blood cancer . She has this rare form of cancer where her RBC'S attack her WBC'S causing her health to be poor, he bones to be weak, and her blood to thicken like ketchup. She has to go bi-weekly, sometimes even weekly to have blood pumped off, so it doesn't thicken in her veins and arteries. Taken care of people in need comes natural to me , i have done it my whole life , and don't plan on changing that any time soon.

I'm a very outgoing person and caring. I love my job as a caregiver! I don't just do my job just because it is a job, I do my job because there is nothing more special then spending time learning and becoming very close to the people i take care of! Becoming a caregiver is something ive always wanted to do! Taking care of people that need it the most! Just to see the way people react to the way you do things. Their smiles of joy and happieness just makes my heart melt!
