Clients realize I'm their priority I'm there to help with DAL's while allowing them to be in charge. After my assistance with bathing and grooming the client easily picks out clothing for the day ahead. I prepare meals and remind clients to take medication if needed. I make sure a nutritious breakfast is served . They love reminders of family. Viewing family pictures and things in their home that makes it a home again. Clients love when we go for walks to get exercise rather in a wheel chair or walker. Range of motion exercises helps keep the body moving and agile. I'm just their to make them sure of themselves again.

I love to be able to help others from young to older, did it half of my life. I live in hammond,indiana with my husband and dog. I Enjoy adventures and family time. Being hands on with a person everyday or week you become close and understand them. I have the patience, awareness of my surroundings, fast actions and enjoy helping others. If I don't know what to do I'll look it up or ask lots of questions. I been taking care of my dad for the last 8 years, every Tuesday I take him to his doctor appointments and I also do housekeeping every Friday mornings for the last 2 years. I love my job and I have been interested in the medical field since a young girl even taking the health program my 4 yrs of high school at a career technical school!! Hi, De'yunka here! I got my start in the United States Marines as an Administrative Specialist. I decided that I needed a change and becoming a caregiver was something that I wanted to try. I am currently working for an agency and my first client was a paraplegic and she taught me a lot, from sponge baths to catheter placement. she also shared with me valuable life lessons and experiences that have helped me as an individual and as a caregiver. I've since added much more training and experiences and I can honestly say becoming a caregiver was the best choice for me.
