I have been a caregiver my entire life, I started out as a CNA at age 17 I did that as well as home health care for several years then I went to college and acquired my associates degree in Medical Assisting. Then I worked at an opthalmology practice for 3 years then a Cardiology center for 2 and most recently I've been employed as a direct care staff taking care of clients in their home. I'm honest, dependable, caring, empathetic and I just love taking care of people.

Hello, my name is Sierra. I am 24 years old and I am currently at teacher for the 2 1/2-3 year old classrooms. Ever since I was in boarding school, I knew I wanted to help people. I learned quickly that I was interested and obsessed with Psychology. I started to recognize certain traits that I have, that makes me eager to care for people. Some of those traits are, I make sure to not just listen but that I heard exactly what is being said to me. Another, is that I am compassionate and patient. When people think about psychology they don't necessarily think of a care giver. I learned that wasn't true after spending four months, living with my grandmother after she had major back surgery. I helped bathe, feed, clean her house and keep her company. I did everything she needed me to do and more. Recently, since working at KinderCare, that notion as been proven wrong to me again. When interacting with my students, I am more aware of my tone, body language, their body language and our surroundings. Being able to build a relationship, to the point where I know the difference between when my students are crying because they are sick, hungry, thirsty or hurting. I never thought I would be able to do that. It is a moment of clarity, that working with people. Not just working with them but caring for others is what I am meant to do with my life. Giving my love, care, support and friendship is what I was born to do. I promise to love and care for each one of my clients.
