Hi I've been in the business for over 14 years i grew up living with my grandparents and i watched how after they retired and needed help and had someone caring for them that made me wanna help another elderly person out as much as i could i gain history lessons and knowledge from my clients as well thy let me know a lot Of different things

I am looking for a part time position with hours in the evenings and/or weekends. I became a Caregiver because I enjoy being around people. My grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and after my grandfather passed away, I would visit her frequently to do her hair and other small tasks for her. The more time I spent there, I discovered how much I loved it. I got my Caregivers certificate within months and have never loved what I do so much. I love being able to help others. I love encouraging them to embrace what they can do and help them, gently, with what they are unable to do, now. Even though the job may be difficult at times, the reward at the end of the day is always worth it. I have worked in some very challenging circumstances where my patience, joy and understanding are challenged. I am proud to say that I have learned to understand where my client is coming from in different circumstances. I have learned to be patient with them during any situation and to be joyful before, during and after any trying time. I am a people person, with a big heart, who cares immensely for other people. I am trustworthy, kind, patient, caring and understanding.

I think I am a great caregiver because I pay strict attention to the needs and wants of my clients. I became a caregiver, after I retired, because I love people and have a passion to help. My favorite is to hear when and how or where they grew up. Its a warm nice feeling. My Mom and Dad both passed from cancer so i have lots of experience from taking care of them. I learned how to clean my Moms trach which i feel is a big achievement for me I sure never thought i could ever do something like that, but it was for my Mom and for her to be able to come home so yes I did learn that and would of moved mountains if needed to be. I've been assisting my great grandparents for a long time, aside from my previous experiences that have helped me be prepared me greatly for this field. I enjoy the company of the elderly as they always give a different perspective and tell great stories about their youth. I take pride in caregiving because our elders have done so much for us and the least we can do is help them live comfortably with our assistance.

I've been a Licensed CNA for 4 in a half years. I've worked in nursing homes assisted livings hospitals and mental/substance abuse units. I'm very genuine loving and understanding when it comes to my work because i know it's hard to find that in the healthcare field nowadays, it's like everyone just does it for the money and no passion behind it.
