I feel like the traits that make me a good caregiver are that I am patient, honest, empathetic, and easy to get along with. I have been a caregiver most all of my life. I was adopted by my grandparents and grew up assisting to caregive for my grandmother, who was a stroke victim. As an adult, I have been a caregiver to multiple clients with varying degrees of both mental and physical disabilities. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the satisfaction of helping make a difference in the quality of lives for others. One personal achievement I am proud of is earning an Associate degree in Business Management, and graduating with honors.

Hi! I'm Channing. Growing up, I was constantly responsible for my two younger siblings which planted a passion for caregiving within me. As I got older, caring for my grandparents showed me a different side of caregiving that I loved even more. My parents are both doctors. I grew up around the medical field, seeing people be taken care of. Although I am not a certified medical professional in any way, I know the ins-and-outs of the medical system and how to manage patient care from my experience working in a Physician's office. While self-employed as a photographer, I found that my greatest passion was lifting others up in whatever way that I could. I am looking for someone to spend my time with that needs an extra pick-me-up from day to day.

I feel that the best traits of me that make me a good caregiver is the biggest one being I am a caring person, I am hardworking and I treat my residents/elderly with respect and as if they were my own family. The main reason why I chose to become a caregiver is because I was raised by my great-grandparents, and someday when they can no longer give care to themselves, I wanted to have the training and experience to help them along in their time of need. My name is Sara i am a 28 year old young lady with lots of experience in caring for others. In addition to caring for my four children, I has worked at Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly and currently works part-time for Inspired Living, which is a facility for mentally disabled individuals. I am certified in Medication Administration, CPR. I have worked in the health care field for the past three years and am a caring and compassionate person that will treat your loved one with the respect and dignity they deserve. I always say, "I always think 'how would I want my grandparent, parent, or child treated' and treat others the way I would want my loved ones to be treated."

I'm a very outgoing and compassionate person with a positive outlook on life. I have always had a draw to help others. Giving support to those around me whether professionally or personally brings fulfillment to my life. I love to help others achieve a better quality of life in the areas they need it most. I had the privilege to raise 3 beautiful children and have instilled in them the importance of servitude where ever life leads them.

In 2001-2006 I worked at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington KY. Within 8 months I was chosen to train all new and current Unit Clerks that was a big achievement for me considering some employees had be employed with the hospital for 10yrs. I love helping people I've always had a big heart. It makes me feel good to know just something little, I've done has helped another person in their day. I do have a lot of patience because when people are not able to do the things they once could do or their memory isn't the same. It's natural to be frustrated and I don't let that frustration bother me, you have to have a lot of patience and calmness.

I have been a caregiver since I was a child. My Grandfather was bedridden for 15 years with RA and I was the oldest daughter, so I helped my mother with his care. I also cared for my Aunt who suffered from mental illness. She was diagnosed as bipolar and she was also schizophrenic She was also a diabetic with hypertension. I have also been an In Home Care Provider for a non family member who suffered from breast cancer. She lived with me until she passed away which was 34 months. I moved to Somerset to care for my dad who was diagnosed with Congestive heart failure and he was also an insulin dependent diabetic with hypertension and COPD. I cared for him 18 months until his passing and I now I'm a resident of Pulaski County. I'm also a foster parent and I adopted my son from the program when he was 13 and he is now 15. I have a total of 5 children and 4 Grandkids, 2 of which are twins. Caring for others is so good for our hearts, minds and souls. There's no other feeling like helping those in need. God loves us and wants us to do his work which is loving and caring for others as we do ourselves.
