Arthritis Caregivers in Grant County - 18 caregivers found

Approximately 15 years ago, I became my mother's Caregiver after she came home from Rehab for a major stroke. After working in a Family Medical office for a couple years, I began my Caregiver career. In the past 10+ years, I have worked as a Home Health Aide and CNA, providing many services to families and their loved ones, including (but not limited to) Alzheimers, Dementia, Quadriplegic, and Hospice Care. Services provided include companionship, transportation, meal prep, feeding, light housekeeping, pericare, input/output, taking and recording vitals, catheter care, colostomy care, medication reminders, assistance with bathing, showers, dressing, transfers, wound care maintenance, and oxygen maintenance. My special focus has been with Alzheimer's and Dementia care. I am a CNA and certified in CPR and First Aid, and continue to work on completing additional medical courses and pursue avenues to help strengthen me as a Professional Caregiver. I also maintain current Individual Professional Liability Insurance. Your loved ones peace of mind, comfort and health is my priority.

I am new to Carelinx but not new to caregiving. I helped care for my mother for almost five years until she passed away at 90. I always enjoyed doing the extras that made her feel better and brightened her days. I also helped to raise my two grandchildren since my son became a single father when they were very young.

I have cared for my family and family friends for years. All, I want to do is help those who can't help themselves like they use to do. The way my mother cared for me when, I was young. She gave me the heart to care for others. The smiles on their faces when i can make them happy. Seeing my family walk again after their knee surgeries.

I have a lot of experience working with people from many different backgrounds, I am CPR and first aid certified for all ages and AED certified. Trained on de-escalation and on trauma Informed. I am patient and willing to go above and beyond for people in my community. I enjoy using what I have learned to benefit those who need those qualities and to learn more everyday that I can share. I am so grateful to have accomplished a career that I love!

I became a Certified Nurse Assistant my senior year of high school and started working in the nursing home the month i turned 18. I have had my CNA license for a year and have enjoyed working with my residents. I no longer work at the nursing home because i have had to relocate and haven't found anything closer. I would love to get the chance to meet new people and work on a one on one basis with someone and help make their life a little easier. I became a care giver because I have a big heart and i have been told that by many of my former residents. I go above and beyond and will bend backwards to make sure that you or your loved one is PROPERLY taken care of. I have worked with so many people that have taken short cuts and don't care cause at the end of the day its just a job to them. But as for me i know that i am taking care of someone that is trying to live everyday a little more comfortable even though they cant do as much anymore, its not just a job for me. I admit i get attached but thats expected when you spend everyday with someone and know what they like to do and how they like things done. They become family .
