I have been working as a caregiver for over 15 years now. What made me want to be a CNA/ Caregiver, was when I was 16 my grandfather whom I was very close to had a massive stroke and ended up being paralyzed on the right side, he had to be placed into a LTC center even though we wanted to keep him at home. But it was when I visited him daily that I saw and realized what being a caregiver actually entailed. They were so good to him, and in turn he not only thought the World of them, but we all did to. This helped me to realize what I wanted to do when I grew up.
