What attracted me to becoming a caregiver was seeing how my mother took care of her mother when I was a little girl. Witnessing that instilled a desire in me to do the same for my own mother if and when she needs me in that way. My mother not only took care of my grandmother but she checked on the elderly, family or not, if someone needed help she was there and to this day presents the same urgency.
