Hi, name is Robert. I first got my PCA in 1984. I took care of a completely disabled man in a wheelchair. Lifts were all manual and showers, bowel movement with a Fleet was continuous for the 3 yrs l worked with him. I took him where ever he wanted to go, Beach, Dr.'s, Park, Patriots Football Games, Concerts. I have been working since then with the disabled, psychiatric disabled, physically disabled, Drug Rehabilitation. Hi my name is Alicia, growing up I always enjoyed helping my mom with household chores and watching my younger siblings. As I grew up I knew I wanted to do something where I could help people that needed it. That's when I decided to be a CNA. So for the next year I took all the classes and at the end of the year I passed my test and got certified. I especially like to get to know the patients I care for. I look forward to going over and sharing stories or just listening to whatever they want to tell me. I'm a good listener. I don't like it when someone can't put themselves in another's shoes. We are all from different paths of life, that's what makes us who we are and I think that's something special.

My name is Deanna I am 34 years of age with no children. What attracted the most to look into this field and to sign me up for CNA school was for my grandparents that I was very close to and who raised me so I did it for them! Because unfortunately, my grandmother was in a nursing home and she was very neglected to the point. Some thing happened to her and she passed away so she gave me my motivation to be where I'm at today. I'm a very compassionate person very honest the most outright patience I have for people is incredible always in a positive mood And I've always wanted to take care of others who don't have others to take care of them. That's why I became a CNA and a caregiver because I give my 100%. I'm a very thorough worker. I'm very organized I have a routine and I get along with everybody, but if I have a tough client who is behavioral that intrigues me more to stay in the field that I am in only because I know how to approach those clients in the correct manner. My personal traits are attachment to the people I care for because not only do I care for them but at the end of the day, somehow they turn family to me in my eyes. I'm a very experienced worker. I've been doing this for six years. I have dealt with all different kinds of patients, so no need to worry. And I'm also very knowledgeable to medical terminologies. I'm a safe, reliable, trustworthy person and I'm very compassionate at what I do and because I love what I do.

I never know what to write when it comes to this part. Most people say I'm happy go lucky, I have a quirky sense of humour. I guess I would have to my step mom introduced me to the field, She was a nurse in a long term care facility, they were short handed and needed help. Needless to say I was very young and didn't last long. As I got older and became a single parent I needed work and it just seemed like the natural thing to do, to become a caregiver to others outside of my children. I believe my greatest joy in doing this job is helping others and making a difference in their lives, even if it's just making a snack or a meal, or shaving a face or combing hair. Sometimes is the smallest thing that make the biggest difference for someone. I would have to saY my personal achievement I'm most proud of is raising my children alone to adulthood, to be respectful, productive adults. Now helping to raise my youngest grandson.
