I love being a caregiver because I enjoy helping people. I've been in healthcare since I was 16 years old, starting off as a dietary aide and then furthering my career in a long term care facility where I got my CRMA license. I'm a very outgoing and talkative person, I think that is what makes me a good caregiver. Not to mention i'm always reliable, i'm always somewhere when i'm supposed to be.

At the small age of 9 i would help my aunt take care of my Great grandmother. Dressing and feeding and just being there for her. I've always wanted to be someones light in their darkest times. Taking great care of people is what I know. I've done caregiving my whole life and I always enjoy meeting new people and hearing the stories of how life used to be. I believe everyone deserves to have a good life even better a great ending. No one should ever feel unloved or wanted when they need help. I want to make life easier for other's, as we know illness doesn't make anything easy. I moved to lincolnville to help take care of a family member before corona. She had dementia and Alzheimer's as well as DVT. She passed away october 2020. She was and is an amazing soul. To put it simply, I love what I do and I love to help anyway i possibly can.

Hello everyone, My name is Ashley and I have about 7 years of experience being a caregiver. My daughter was born legally blind with learning disability's as well as a post transplant patient. My father in law has dementia. I cared for one of my friends mother for over a year with Alzheimer most rewarding part of my life I would say I have the patience and kindness . Empathy and time to talk. Love biggest factor. I was both my parents caregivers at the end of their lives with the help of hospice.

I am a caring person I've been a care giver for about 3 years and my grandmother was a caregiver for over 30 years and taught me all I know besides being a medical assistant and other trainings . But caring for others loved ones brings me so much joy.

Kindness, compassion, and empathy are vital in being a caregiver. I feel that when caring for someone's family member it is important to remember that they too were once young, and spry. They deserve respect and dignity as if they were a family member of my own. I have been a CNA in the past, and spending those extra minutes to do a residents hair, or shave a residents face just the way he likes it is so important in helping them to feel like a person. I care for a close family friend now after my regular work hours because I enjoy spending the time with her and helping her with activities of daily living but also encouraging and supporting her in maintaining the independence that she is able to safely have. A personal achievement that I am proud of is maintaining my CNA licensure while working a full time MA job. I did this so that I could continue to work with residents on weekends when I am able because they truly hold a special place in my heart.

I have been a care giver 27 years and have done everything from the range of in home care to nursing homes and hospitals.. I have experienced all types of patients as far as mental health, long term care, pre and post surgical care, telemetry care, special care , altimizers care and hospice care.

I have been a CNA/CRMA for 8 years. I have mostly worked elder care. I have experience with children and adults. I am hospice certified and have a current CPR certification. I can assist with ADLS of all kinds.

I'm very friendly, caring, and dedicated! I love helping people and am more than happy to be a companion or keep someone company! I think it is important to keep the elder popular entertained and feel cared for!

I have always had a compassionate and caring personality, even in my group of close friends, I was known as the "Mom" figure. I always strive to do my best to make sure others are happy and healthy and care for others. I find great joy and fulfillment in seeing others happy and assisting in any way I can. My ultimate goals are to get back into Childcare as I finish my BA in Early Childhood Education and hopefully open up my own preschool some day.
