Hello my name is Kayla M Newell. I have two sons and a cat. My personality traits that help me be a good CNA is that I listen to every want/needs the resident may want fulfilled. I try my best to make the resident happy and comfortable in anyway possible. What attracted me to becoming a CNA is that I enjoy working with people, I enjoy hearing all the life stories and lessons learned from all my residents. I enjoy getting information from them about anything. I just enjoy being around all my residents. They make me feel like I'm at home. My name is Amber, I live in Midland with my husband and our dogs! I moved to Midland around 4 years ago and I fell in love with the area. One of my favorite things about being a caregiver is that I am helping someone, in some way. Whether this be cleaning, cooking, helping with personal care or just having a friendly conversation, I know that I am needed and making a difference. I was drawn to caregiving when I saw all of the help our family received for my grandmother. I realized that I was missing something in life, and chose to become a caregiver myself.

Surprisingly enough, in caring for my mom and pastor's mom the last 18 months of their lives, I found I'm very patient with the elderly. Both women had dementia as well. Doing crafts or something creatively "fun" was enjoyable. There is SOO much need for the elderly! My heart goes out to them, especially those who don't have family or their family lives far away. I'm an extrovert who loves to laugh. It's important to find the humor in life. It's also important to help the person retain their dignity, especially if incontinent, which can be humiliating to the patient. After caring for both women, they both died within 3 months of each other. I had quit my job to care for my mom full time and home health was an easy segue back into working full time. I enjoy getting to know new people and hearing their "story" as everyone has a story. I play the piano and saxophone, and my patients always lived hearing one or the other. I'm pretty laid back and easy going.

I love taking care of people. Great personality. Strive to be the best I can be. I am very empathetic and patient. I believe our elderly should be treated with kindness, patience and respect. I went to college and graduated as a medical assistant but prefer doing what I have done for years. Going home knowing I am appreciated and have helped someone is what makes me happy and fullfilled.

I've been assisting seniors for as long as I can remember, I began as a volunteer when I was 12 years old, I've held various positions in the Healthcare industry, Activity Director, Social Work, Administrator, but I always find myself pulled back to the hands on care, to me there isn't a more rewarding career.

I am a very social person. I Love cleaning and helping people with disabilities live a full life . I love talking to anyone and learning new things and I love to hear about your life

I have been a employee of my grandmother up until2010 when she herself was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer she was our last resident and she opened our business when I was 8 I stayed from 8 to 19yrs old and took care of her as I said as we closed the doors I know how to do everything from bathing to meal prep specific meal instructions as well as wound care end of Life Care hospice palliative as well as patient-based I have no prior commitments or religious preferences or views as far as that

I'm dependable, energetic, reliable and fun. I became a caregiver to give people a better quality of life. I love to make people happy. Just seeing someone smile is the best gift. One of the things I'm most proud of besides being a parent was the day I got my license to be a CNA.
